Assume product will be here maybe tomorrow, so figured to get started with initial posting.

Going to divide this initial post and make it 2. Experience leads me to the fact that if a post is too long, folks tend to lose interest and skim towards the end. So, to avoid that :qt:

I will start with my current workout split. It is a 5 day on, 2 off rotational basis. Every muscle therefore gets hit every 6 days. I like this option, seems to offer me adequate rest time, don't feel fatigued as I have my workouts down to what I consider optimal for recouperation for me. Goes like this....

Day 1.....Chest/ABS
Day 2.....Back/Shoulders
Day 3.....Rest
Day 4.....Biceps/Triceps/ABs
Day 5.....Quads/hams/calves
Day 6.....Rest
Day 7.....start cycle over

Now, on my major lifts(compound movements) I choose one for major bodyparts and do either a 5x5 or 4x6. Really fond of the 4x6, I like the 6 rep scheme, allows to me to utilize maximum weights with what I consider optimal reps(bottom end).

Here is an example from today, it was chest/ab day. I am using this workout to set the bar for the product.

Flat db bench.....6x105,6x105,6x105,5x110(knew I was going to make my last set of 6, felt it, so I went up)

Incline db bench.....7x80,6x80,4x85

Decline barbell bench.....10x185,7x225,3x250

Hammer strength wide bench.....10x270

Flat db flies....10x50

All without a spot, db benches from start to finish just me.

Now, one of my major goals I will be looking to accomplish with the aid of this supplement is to up my db bench. Our db's go to 125. I have in the past done 120's on 2 occassions for a couple reps. I would love to hit the end of the rack(125's) just once at least!

Next post...current stats...bodyweight, measurements, diet, current supplements and schedule. I will post a pic of me when I get home in the next post.
 
Just got home from work, my package was here. :)

Will start first thing in the morning, take my first dose pre workout. With or without food? Any difference or any significance to doing either?
 
Weighed in yesterday after workout at 179 on a crappy scale. Using the same scale all the time, so it will not vary much. Drank a decent amount of water while training, so ~2 lbs. for water. So I am going to say 177. I am 5'7", around 12% bf.

Ok, current diet. Just above maintenance. I am on a lean gain. My up calories slightly with this product. Here for example is yesterday's intake.

Meal 1...1/2c. oatmeal, 5 eggwhites, 1 whole egg, 1 scoop protein, 1/4 cup blueberries

Train

PWO shake 1

PWO shake 2(less simple carbs, 45 -60 min. after the first)

Meal 2....6 oz. ground turkey, 3 oz. spelt pasta, 1 scoop protein,

Between meal snack.....yogurt smoothie, 9 tbsp. eggwhite, low carb ice cream bar

Meal 3....6 oz. lean ground turkey, 1/2 cup beans, 16 crackers(1 serving of wheat thins or whatever)

Betwen meal snack......2 homemade protein cookies(my wife makes for me), yougurt

Meal 4.....6 oz. chicken, 1 cup veggies, (5) Fish oil

Before bed.....6 eggwhite omlette with cup of omlette veggies, 1 slice turkey bacon, 1 slice of whole grain bread with 1 tbsp. natural pb.

This comes out to approximately 2549 calories. 293 gr. of protein, 185 carbs.

This is a bit decieving, as I am on a gain. I keep track of my meals as noted, but I do snack all day on a variety of nuts we keep in the shop. I do not count these, as I just get them as I pass by them. If I was dieting, I would of course count everything. So my total is at least all meals.

Current supplementation is (2) cAMP, (4) Powerfull, (2) Cissus RX(for joints, etc.) all from USP Labs, and CVM extreme creatine by SNS. I plan to keep this same supplement stack while doing this product, this will be an addition. I know pretty much where I stand now, so changes will be easier to note.

Also of note is I use multiple doses of Vit. C, E, B complex, and always do a zinc before bed. E levels can creep up naturally at night. Zinc inhibits the levels of aromatase in the body.

Here is a recent picture of me in September with my wife. Not much different right now. Might be useful to note I am 54 yrs. old.

Started my doseage this morning. Will do exactly as directions say, 3 times per day with meals.

Normally I would have gone to the gym already, but got very little sleep last night. So, I went back to bed for a while, will go later this afternoon when my wife goes.

Will update later. Today will be a back/shoulder day.
 
Day 1......1/08/06

Well, not much to report on the workout front today. Was very tired as noted in my prior post, maybe 2 hrs. sleep. So, thought at best this would be a day to have one of those "light" workouts.

Did a small back workout, then hit shoulders. Did dumbbell militaries, used only 70's and 75's for 3 sets of 6, and moved on. Did not force anything, any reps, just stopped just before failure.

Probably was the smartest move I could have made, considering the circumstances. Not often I do this, (a light workout )but "listened" to my body today.

Day 3....1/09/06...Monday

Well, today was arms/abs. Not much out of the ordinary, pretty normal workout other than an extraordinary pump.

Really noticing it driving to work, shirt sleeves were nice and tight. Could have been for any reason though. Did 7 total sets for bi's, and 9 total for tri's.
 
Day 4....1/10/06...Tuesday

Took today off, did just some cardio. Normally would have been a leg day, but trying to give my knees a much needed rest. Have a bit of tendonitis in both of them. They are fine till I put them under some type of load.

Tomorrow I will probably hit chest again with the added day of rest. Feel pretty good right now and feel like it may be a good thing to do. That instinctive training session. ;)

Not too much to report on the supplement tester front, in fact nothing at all. Tomorrow will be day 5, hoping for good things to start soon. I remember even with PH's, like Methyl Dien/Mohn it took 7-10 days to start feeling anything.

So, I am patient. :)
 
Day 5....1/11/06...Wednesday

Well, decided to hit legs a bit, sore knees and all. Approached it quite differently than normal. Did calves first, followed by extensions.

Now, I haven't done leg presses in probably 2 months, trying to take some heat off my knees. Been just doing some parallel light hacks. Was doing 12 plates each side plus on gthe leg press before. Did not know what to expect today.

Ended up doing just 3 sets, 10 plates on each side only. Actually fairly effortlessly. Was quite surprised, am sure I could have gone up more, but decided to stay there for my knees sake.

Weighed in this morning after my workout, no change. Diet continues to be dam close to what I presented early in this log. Tomorrow is chest. My favorite day. Hoping for good things. ;)
 
Day 6....1/12/06....Thursday

Ok, what to say about today! Pretty phenominal day, did chest.

Normally I would take a day off after legs, but since I took the previous day, I went in. Started off with flat dumbbell, hit 3 full sets of 6 with 110's! Now I have done 110's in the past numerous times, but never for 3 full sets.

Pretty stoked, went to dumbbell inclines. Now, inclines have always been a "thorn in my side" so to speak, never been real strong in them. Last week I did 80's for my sets, today I did 2 sets of 5x85, then did 90's for 3! The most interesting part of this was I have never, ever been able to start the 90's by myself, let alone do any reps. I did these start to finish, and not sure that I have ever started the 85's by myself!

I followed that up with 250 on the decline bench.

Now, I did have 2 pieces of pizza yesterday on top of my normal diet, so it was probably either the pizza or the supplement starting to work. Sustainability of these levels will be the telling factor.

Oh yeah, I was up a lb. also, weighed in at 180 after my workout. Probably not water, as I had a bottle and did not even finish it. So again, pizza or supplement? We will see!
 
Off day today. Doing no cardio, no nothing but work.

Tomorrow will be back/shoulders. Looking to make some improvements if yesterday is going to be a trend. Doing 4x6 on military presses, been doing 150 for a while, have done 160 for a couple reps only. Would like to make a "move" tomorrow on them.

Till then, I am resting and eating. ;)
 
Day 8....1/14/06....Saturday

Well, <sigh>, no records today. :( In fact, not even close. I struggled mightily today with my workout.

Did get through it, and had a good back and shoulder pump going, but strength was down a bit. Out of sheer will, I forced up a couple reps with 160 on militaries, but it was a battle even getting there.

Oh well, chalk it up to any number of things, every day can't be great.
 
Day 10...1/16/06......Monday

Had a good arm day today. Nothing to really write home about though. :)

Had a nice arm pump, but usually get one anyway. I am pretty strict with my movements here, did go up maybe a bit in weight. For example on my straight bar curls, did 6@115 for my final set.

Looking at last arm workout(I keep a written log of all my workouts and diets), that was a progression. Did this on olympic bar curls, not too bad....

85x10,95x10,105x8,115x6

Tricep workout was equally good.

I do look a bit "fuller" to myself, though the scale does not show any appreciable weight gain at all. Will soldier on, doseing exactly as prescribed.

No sides to speak of, did do a blood pressure test yesterday. Was up slightly, first time for this I can ever remember. But, could have been for any reason.
 
Day 11....1/17/06.....Tuesday

Did cardio today. Not alot to report. Have to rest the knees.

Today will be chest/abs. Should be a good marker as considering my last chest workout was pretty awesome.

Really have no "new" feelings of any kind, like well being etc. Things are about as normal right now as can be.
 
Day 12....1/18/06....Wednesday

As mentioned above, today was a chest day. Sadly, I set the bar last Thursday with such an excellent day, could not match that today.

Had I not had the day I had last time, this would have ranked as a pretty good day. I did the 110's again on flat bench for 3 sets, and started the 85's and 90's on inclines by myself. But much more of a struggle, and reps were down.

Maybe I need to get some more of that pizza I had last time! ;)
 
Day 13.....1/19/06....Thursday

Yesterday was a cardio day for me. Today will be back/shoulders, followed tomorrow by biceps/triceps/abs.

We are over a third of the way into the trial. My comments at this point are pretty reserved. I am honest and my reputation means alot to me.

When I test a product, I am looking for something well out of the ordinary to "tell" me it is most definitely the product and not some placebo. Alot of variables go into a workout, so one good workout does not suffice.

If something is compared to testosterone for instance, I am looking for some type of fairly drastic and continuous changes in workout, gains, etc. Having to "look" for something like I think I got a good pump, or got one more rep, this is not telling enough to quantify a supplement.

As of yet, I have had nothing out of the ordinary, but no sides either. I will soldier on with the product, I am sincerely hoping for good things so I can shout this stuff from the rooftops how good it is.
 
Day 14...1/20/06....Friday

Well, today was an improvement. I did back/shoulders. Had a nice back pump going.

Then went to shoulders. Warmup went nicely, felt nice and light, set of 65 and then 95 for 10 each for warmups. Did my first working set with 135 for 10, then went up.

Last week had gotten easily 6 with 150, pretty normal for me, and today only got 5. Was very mad....till I realized I actually had 160 on the bar...so I did 5 for the first time with 160! Followed that up with another set at that weight. So, very pleased, continued on with shrugs, and had a nice shoulder workout and pump.

Hope it wasn't a one time thing....a little more time will tell.
 
Day 15....1/21/06.....Saturday

Yesterday I did arms and threw in calves as I dissed legs this last week trying to rest my knees.

Nothing to again write home about...wish there was something. I was not concerned earlier as it was early in the trial, but at 15 days in I am starting to have some concerns. :(
 
Day 17....1/24/06....Tuesday

Today was an awesome chest day. Not only did I do sets with the 115's, but I started and finished a set with 120's on the flat bench. Never before had I started the 115's on my own, let alone the 120's!

Now, a couple factors may have played a part here. I had 2 solid days of rest(did cardio one of them), so I was well rested. I ate well also, not cheating, just good solid calories.

I am beginning to wonder if maybe this supplement is so subtle that it "creeps" up on you. It is nothing like any PH I have done, you do not get any "drastic" strength gains. But, this is not always good, slower is better, much easier on the connective tissue and joints.

Another thing that has me thinking this is my wife wanted to measure my arms Sunday, said they just looked bigger. I let her, and unless I mismeasured the first time, I have gained a full 1/4 inch in my arms!

So, I am now wondering....am leaning toward good diet and rest at this point ;)
 
Day 19...1/25/06....Wednesday

Took today off, was going to try to hit legs and test the knees, but got very little sleep last night and was extremely tired. Figured it best option to just rest. So I will do legs tomorrow and follow with back/shoulders, and still be on schedule.
 
Day 20.....1/26/06....Thursday

Did hit legs yesterday. Rather good day considering I missed the last 2 weeks on legs resting my knees. Didn't know what to expect.

Did hacks and then leg presses....could have easily gone up to my highest weights, but again tried to be sensible.

Even with that, my knees felt really good after the first couple sets. But I paid a price all day yesterday, hit about an hour after finishing. Did have a solid leg workout though.
 
Day 21....1/27/06...Friday

Pretty average back/shoulder day today, nothing special.

No sides or anything though to report, and on the positive side, looks like my lb. gain that I reported ealier on has not only held, but another lb. I have increased my caloric intake a bit, so this is most probably the cause here.

Other than that, all is normal.
 
Day 23...1/29/06.....Sunday

Rest day yesterday. Felt good, relaxed, went out to eat.

Still dosing exactly as prescribed...I am very anal about supplements. Especially on a test. If I am told to take them at certain times or with certain foods, I will follow it to the letter to maximise any results.
 
Day 25...1/31/06...Tuesday

Sure have been having some good chest days! Changed things up a bit today, started with decline bench to see what I could do there, then inclines and flat bench last.

Hit 290 for a couple reps today! OH yeah! Then went up to 95's on dumbbell inclines, but could not start them all the way by myself, but just a slight bit of help from my wife and they went. Did the 90's on my own.

Then still had enough to do 105's start to finish on flat dumbbell. Nice day, great chest workout. :)
 
Day 26....2/01/06.....Wednesday

Had alot of pep yesterday in the gym. Went in doing back/shoulders a day early, so thought maybe I would just do back, and maybe shoulders tomorrow. Turned I rammed right through back at a nice pace, and then had no trouble doing shoulders.

Changed things up a bit today, did dumbbell militaries seated. Nice day, there was a time when I couldn't do 70's not so awful long ago(about a year maybe), now I do them without a spot and 75's also.

I have run out of one of the supplements that was in my original stack, Powerfull by USP Labs. Wondering how this is going to affect my workouts from here on in.
 
Day 28....2/03/06....Friday

Good arm day today, nice pump, but nothing really unusual to report.

Feeling pretty good...no sides at all from the supplement, but then that may be expected at the dose I am doing. Along with no sides is not much in the way of results.

I asked in my log on ironmass if it was cool to double up on the doseage at this point, but noone seems to be reading these logs who is in authority on this stuff. Oh well...
