Test w/ high BF%

I have been doing a lot of searching for information on why a person with high BF should not use Test, I have not found anything yet supporting this, Can someone point me in the right direction? If not I think I would try a cycle and see how it goes.
 
Depends really on what you're trying to accomplish. I know a lot of really strong guys - I mean freak strong, that hit test at bodyfat levels that are very high. They're after only one thing; lifting crazy amounts of weight. For them it works. If you're wanting to look great, maybe that's another story. Why don't you post up your stats, height weight, bf%, training history, goals, etc and your question will be easier to answer. One thing is that "high bodyfat" is relative. To me it may be 12% and to another it may be 32%.

Man, with your question your gonna get 2 answers only which are completely different. Most people don't think it's a good idea with high bf bc u may not see any or most of your results. On the other hand if u are speaking strictly about test then others have the philosophy that with more muscle mass u have the faster your metabolism runs... Which does have some truth to it in a certain way. I wouldn't recommend getting on a cutting cycle with high bf but I don't see any issues with just test. What is your stats and history? Age?
 
I went over this in a similar thread the other day ..

Adipose tissue contains alot of estrogen receptors.

More fat = more estrogen receptors

More estrogen receptors = more side effects
 
Stats:
5' 10"
290 lbs

Goal- Power lifting only (If mussels come it's a bonus- mind set)

5X5 program right now

Diet 5% over maintenance right now, will increase soon as the strength starts to slow down....
 
you didn't list your age or body fat. but I am gonna guess you are young and you probably are like 25-30%.

the risk you will deal with is heart health issues. high blood pressure will be worse (its already high at your weight), cholesterol will go sky high (its probably sky high right now). you will probably open yourself up to diabetes and other diseases over time being overweight and things will get sped up with test IMO cause it increases appetite and you will be eating more carbs.
 
If you're one of those guys in the World's Strongest Man thing on ESPN then "high" BF and test is another story...

For the other 95% of the world, using test to reduce BF & "get in shape" cuz most people are too lazy to diet and train is going to cause all bad and no good....

if ur a power lifter use it..ive never saw a power lifter not fat...may want to have an ai on hand...i ran many cycles tho at 510 and 250lbs of fat and never had a issue
 
My age is 36 body fat is about 30-32%

a recent check up and blood work shows everything is normal
NO High blood pressure
Normal cholesterol

I teach technical scuba diving so I have a complete physical every 2 years.

other than being over weight I have no body function issues at all...

Also I'm looking to build strength not loose weight (if this happens as a result great! mussel mass another bonus)

You must not know any power lifters than. I know of guys that can squat 800+ with abs. If you doubt this google sam byrd. He is a pl sponsored by animal pak. Hell johnny jackson is a pro bb who competes in powerlifting. Power lifters come in all shapes and sizes and ages. Some are fat and some arent. All that matters is who lifts the most weight.
