Another post on the board got me to thinking about something I have noticed when taking gear. When I start a cycle libido initially shoots through the roof then starts falling about 3wk into the cycle. At first I thought I just had problems with compounds that are more heavily anabolic vs. androgenic. Things like EQ and VAR will all but destroy my libido, and while I can get a normal erection it tends to be a temporary thing. I don’t even stay hard long enough to consider having sex. It’s kind’a like there was this idea, but it lost its appeal real fast.
Then I did a test only cycle, and only on 300mg EW. Same result. Two weeks into it I notice ejaculate volume starts dropping. Three weeks into it I found myself a little less interested in sex but still kinda into the idea. Trying to have sex was easy, as there was no problem getting and maintaining an erection but HUGE problems actually getting off. It just took forever, to the point of faking it just to get it over with.
This sort of thing sounds like what happens to guys with too high of prolactin levels. Some can get and maintain an erection, but can’t get off and some (if levels are way too high) simply can’t have sex at all. How is prolactin production regulated in males? Could excess test result in prolactin directly? I don’t think so. Could excess test cause one’s body to produce more prolactin as a regulatory response? I think I have seen some prolactic/GH feedback relationships, but not certain about test.
