TEST: Here is a political point upon which I believe plunky and I will agree...

Plunkey, I think you and I both will agree that the National Defense Authorization Act for 2012 is unconstitutional and scary and shit. Agree?

To override a presidential veto, both houses of congress must pass a bill by a two-thirds majority -- supermajority, if you will.

Well, Obama says he will veto it, but his reasoning pissed me off. He isn't vetoing it because it totally shreds due process and uses the military against United States citizens. He gave some half ass reason. He has disappointed me time and time again. He's like a scared pup in office -- not the change we were promised.

You voted for him

He said it would be vetoed if the "controversial language" wasn't removed I believe. That doesn't sound too half-assed to me.

lol at you being surprised at any of this. All that lack of experience of his is bearing out.

I think you are probably right, but even in retrospect he was loads better than crazy ass McCain. He should have gotten shit done when we had the majority in Congress. Instead he made every concession possible to the right. He's a big fat disappointment for this progressive/liberal gal. He's been a lame duck from the start.

Plunkey says we're already fucked

Plunkey says it wood be best to find another country to live in

I dont know why you cant believe any of this. Presidents may change and "sound different" but nothing is going to change. Nothing will change with Gingrich/Romney either. Government exists now to serve its own increase for power and control. With all the bush bashing youve done Im glad youre seeing that obama is no different and possibly worse given his domestic policies.
Seriously, when was the last president to affect big positive change? Theodore Roosevelt?

Oh, there is no way I would vote for any of the republican bigots they are parading around right now.

I don't like it as written.

Non-US citizens engaging or suspected in terrorist activities shouldn't get US citizen rights. That part I like.

US Citizens operating within US borders should retain all their rights to due process (even nut-job home-grown/domestic terrorists).

US citizens operating outside US borders, in an active theater should be a discretionary decision based on the credibility of their evidence. For example, if you're the spokesperson an an Al Quida tape, you no longer have citizen's rights. If you're working on an oil rig in Iraq and do something fishy, you're probably still entitled to all your US citizen's rights.

Plunkey is knot a young man anymoar

Plunkey is prob chasing his Lunesta down with high fiber cereal and warm milk

Troo. Plunkey is knot a young man anymore.

Teh wife wore the plunkster out last night. I was in bed nodding off around 8:40 PM.

And I slept till ~8:00.

Life is great. I'd like to think a 20-year younger plunkey could have made it past at least 10:00, but I don't think so.

You do realize when you don't show up my separation anxiety goes off the chart ... right?

We agree then, that it is unconstitutional with respect to u.s citizens andwithin the u.s. w actually agree on something. Isn't that the seventh sign of the apocalypse? Lol.

That alone should make me reconsider my position!
