test enth and weight gain

I'm just getting on the 5th week of test enth and eq. Last week I noticed a huge jump in strength but my weight has only gone up by 5 lbs. I'm starting to lose a lot of fat and noticing mucle gain as well. I am just wondering when can I expect a jump in weight gain? I'm 5'7 180 lbs right now and I eat around 3000+ to 4000 calories a day. Over 200 grams of protein each day as well.

If you're losing BF while your weight went up 5 lbs that's great. If you want to weigh more you have to eat more; keep the calories up to the 4,000/day end. Also up the protein, 1g/lb of body weight is low when you're on cycle. Bump it to at least 360g.

i'm on my fourth week on test e and eq and haven't noticed much yet. be patient you should start seeing more results now. Up your calories slowly and more protein as well. Everyone suggests a crap load of protein but I have never believed a persons body(even on AAS) can use 2 g per lb. Will either use the excess protein for energy or shit it out. Too me its just a waste of money. 250 g protein a day should suffice.

Don't just rely on the scale it fools many, and they end up quitting I see it time and time again. You should firstly have someone take a full measurement of your waist, chest, arms etc and judge progress that way.

I agree for sure i have noticed much more fat free mass. The scale isnt evrything.

I never weigh myself, I just go by the mirror. I think you are doing well. Just be patient. Also I don't think you need 4000 cals/day. That's a lot for someone that's 180 lbs. I would up your protein to about 250 grams/day, but that's it.

I would say 400g/day of protein for him.

Can you post your diet? 4000 cals with only 200g Protein is not right...

Yes, he needs more protein.

350-400 grams if you want to see some real results.

also, 400o calories and 200 grams of protein means either WAY too many carbs, or WAY too many fats.

Losing fat and an increase in 5 lbs total body weight is GOOD progress for EQ and Test E in week 5. That's what you are looking for. It will steadily get better.

If you wanted a dramatic boost in total body weight and strength, you should have included an oral at the beginning of the cycle.

Depends on his level of activity. I'm 180lb and do some type of workout 6 days a week. 3,000 cal/day is my maintenance level. 4,000 cal/day will put 2lb/wk on me.

I think a lot bb's eat way too much protein. 400 grams a day for a 180 lb guy? No way. I stick to my original of 250 grams a day.

I'm about 240 lbs now and I have a fast metabolism. I only eat 300 grams of protein a day. And when I was doing bulking cycles, I would still only eat 300, but eat more carbs and fat.

When one starts gaining size the calories have to go up accordingly. However just jumping up to 4000 a day is one of the main reasons why people tend to get fat while trying to gain muscle.

I think a 2:1 ratio for protein to body weight is a good guideline when bulking.

360-400 would be a good amount of protein for him to be taking on board.

I'm at 200lbs now and take in 400g of protein. Without that, I would not be putting on anywhere near as much size.

theres no problem and no harm in consuming that much protein. It just comes down to money. Theres only so much protein a person can use effectively to build up muscle. Even BB's. Protein is a expensive source of energy if you choose to eat 2 grams per lb of body weight. Its also an expensive turd you just repainted the toilet with.

typical day
I eat

meal 1 :
-bowl of serial with 250m of skim milk
-4 large eggs
-2 pieces of toast with one teaspoon of butter
-250ml of orange juice
-a bowl of grapes

meal 2 (pre workout):
one scoop of protein in juice
a banana

meal 3 (post workout):
one scoop and half of protein
a trail mix bar

meal 4:
2 fish fillets (sometimes chicken or beef)
complex carbs(either pasta rice or bread)
2 cucumbers
a bowl of baby tomatoes
250 ml of milk

meal 5:
3 packs of yogourt
a bowl of raisins
250ml of milk
some nuts

meal 6:
300 ml of skim milk
1 scoop of protein
1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter

This is a typical day might change a bit here and there and might have a few more small meals in between. What should i omit or increase? i find it hard to have over 40g of protein in each meal without eating the same stuff all the time. What are your suggestions?

I bumped protein up to 300 g a day... its early to tell but I feel like my weight is starting to jump again and i'm feeling more recuped in the morning. I think my diet had a protein defficiency. I'll keep you guys posted after a week or so to let you know whats going on. thanks.
