test and maiintenance cals.

Help me trouble shoot my problem. I have been on a legit test e 500mg wk cycle for 6 weeks now. I got some bunk gear from a friend and ran it for 6 weeks. I felt nothing at all. No strength gain, weight gain, incresed sex drive etc... I gave that shit up. I figured that 6 weeks enough time to feel something. I had a 2nd cycle, on hand, from a good source that many here back up. This monday will mark the start of week 7 of the good shtuff.

I had figured my maintenance at 3,500 cals earlier this year during cutting. I was shooting for 4000 cals and 300 grams of protein. Well after the last ten weeks I had not gained any fat from bulking. None at all. I bumped up my cals to 4500-5000 and could tell right away that I was over maintenance. That was 2 weeks ago. From start of this cycle I have gone up 20 lbs on my incline. I don't bench. 20 lbs in stength is nothing for me. I can gain that easy with other supps. Other lifts have gone up slightly. I am not really feeling much from the test. No increase in sex drive, no real weight gain, maybe 1/4 inch on arms. Not really feeling anything. I am shedding hair pretty fast. That is the only real sign that there is something going on. I measure and weigh in every few days. I am in tune with my body so I can usually see some results.

Is it possible that my body does not respond to test? Even at maintenance cals I should see some results? There are people that cut with test and see gains. Help me salvage the next few weeks.
 
maybe not enough calories. when I bulk I eat at least 7500 calories a day.what do you you weigh? you may need more protein. post up your stats and diet.
 
Test can take up to 5 weeks to feel any anabolic effects. I'd stick with it for a few more weeks and give the board an update. Good luck bro
 
I am 5'8" and 230. I was eating 4,000 cals and 300-330 grams of protein. I found this site last april, I never would have thought I would burn 4,000 cals a day. Well, from the stuff on her I have learned my bmr at 4000. I bumped up my cals over 4,500-5,000 and I am sure that this is above maint. From previous dirty bulkers I can usually tell when I am in a surplus. I have been bulking for ten yrs. Was getting 275-330 grams pro daily. 500 grms of carbs and 85 grams of fat. Total cals 4000. Now getting to 5000 by any means necisarry.
 
What's your BF at? and how old are you?
 
25 yo. 230 lbs. Bf 14% at start. I wanted to get lower, but my cutting phase stalled and I had the gear screaming my name.
