Terrible pain when I hang and stretch.

Ok, I did see another thread about spinal compression, but I wonder if anyone else has this problem. It doesn't happen all of them time--maybe on 1/3 or 1/2 of the time. When I hang from the squat rack to "stretch out" I sometimes get a terrible "locked up" feeling in by spine. Does any one have this problem, and is there any meaning behind it. I don't really want the answer of "if it hurts, stop doing it" because I know there is a reason. Also, it doesn't hurt when I do weighted chins.

Thanks

I get it sometimes. I do so much DIY chiro on my back, though, that I hardly think about it. See a chiropractor, he should be able to help.

Yea, I'm just concerned about going and seein one of those. They usually seem like phonies but who knows?

Like with doctors, there are good ones and bad ones. If you are going to get progress from one then you should likely notice some change even after the first adjustment. Basic spine work is their bread and butter. The first visit can be a bit pricey as they'll hit you for a consultation fee and maybe an X-Ray unless you can think of some good reason not to have an X-Ray.

Cost is always a hassle.

Best check with your insurers on that one. If you find a chiro then they might be able to advise. I don't know much about the American medical system.
