Tendon inflammation

I've got a injury on my right knee. Almost for 3 months now so decided to go to the dok. I could not train my legs for almost 3 months end that sucks want to train them again as fast as posible. He made a x ray of my knee and he said that is was a tendon of my quadraceps thats is just atacht under me knee. He said it also stil can take almost up to a half year of getting better. And i cant stand not training me legs for another 3 months.

So do you no anything that whil faster heal de tendons? Maybe igf is a id?

Thanx for your help

I hope that you could understand what i just said in englisch because my englisch issent that good :D

what is wrong with it?? what do you mean by "infection"
just sounds like jumpers knee?? is that what it is?? you have tendenitis in your pateller tendon??

I have a strained bicep tendon. Its bad. My outer head of my bicep no longer exists. A dr. thinks a lack of blood flow might have caused nerve damage... eeerrrrr.
Take the time off and do what they say.
I did ultra sound once a week...
They thought about using a nitroglycerine 1/4 patch on it to increase blood flow.
When I have some disposable income Prolotherapy may be in my future!
Best of Luck!!!

Nothing you can do to make it heal faster. Just listen to what the doctor tells you and do what he tells you and you'll be back as soon as possible. I have a knee injury and I haven't been able to do leg for four weeks and it's driving me nuts.

I've never heard of a tendon infection. They can get injured, torn, inflamed, but an infection is new to me.

crap i cant chance the thread title in Tendon Inflammation anymore :(

Damn realy need to work on my Englisch :(

Tendon heal so slow because they have very little blood flow. The best way to increase blood flow to the area is to apply heat. What you should do as often as possible (eg. while watching TV) is to apply a hot water bottle to your knee and wrap it with something like a woolen scarf. Anything to get it as hot as possible.
