So 3 minute rest is fine when trying to gain weight? I'd been doing about 2-3 minutes before, but had lately started to cut down the rest more because I read something about shorter rest with heavy weights for hypertrophy while longer rests just to focus on strength.
 
on the big 3 I take anywhere from 2-5mins depending on if I am working up to a max,and I have been adding tons of weight each week
