Tanning

I posted this in the Style, fashion board but didn't get any responses so here it goes again.

I am new to tanning and searching for a good tanning lotion. What is a good lotion for a begginer? Right now I am thinking of getting the Designer Skin Mystere, but I'm not really sure of what they mean when they say that it is a bronzer. Is it ok for a begginer to use a bronzer such as this? Also since I am not sure of what I want yet, I have been looking at some John Abate stuff too. Could anyone reccomend anything from either of these lines that would be good for a begginer?

Both Designer Skin and JA products are pretty solid. You need to determing if you like the tingle factor in the lotions or not. I do, and I also like a heavy bronzer. They are both good products, but I prefer the JA products personally...but you are also going to probably pay more for JA than you are Designer Skin.

I still like the Power Tan, Liquid Sun line the best...reasonable price, tingle, light to no smell, good quality, etc...

I didn't know tanning was so difficult, then again every time I go out in the sun I turn into a lobster.

What exactly does a bonzer do? Also why are begginers usually advised to stay away from the tingle formulas?

high tingle factors will burn people without a solid base.

If you are talking about hitting the beds, then go 3 times a week for three weeks. Use cocoa butter after words to solidify your tan.

After try either a stand up bed or high intensity bed, the best tingle factor I ever used was scream by Australian gold, real nice.

Mystere is the best smelling product on earth. I would make love to my bottle if my tally whacker would fit in it.

LOL...while you swill vanilla coke?

Tanning beds are really really bad for your skin. If you go regularly you WILL get skin cancers.

Yes, the people that work at my gym always give me weird looks when I carry a 2 liter bottle of Vanilla Coke into the tanning rooms. :FRlol:

This was the first time that I have used the tanning beds in years. Then again, this is the first time that I have been single in years.:)

Why do you say that? Cancer?

Anyway, talking about tanning. Went to the beach today with my girlfriend. Beautiful day here in Barcelona. Golden topless beauties wearing nothing more than a strategically placed eye patch. Not your cup of tea MB I know. Plenty of marujas who looked like they swallowed a beach ball as well. Don´t you miss this country!

Something useful. From what I understand it takes at least a week for the skin to produce new melanin from uv exposure. SO, any tanning before that can only come from left over melanin from your last tan. Keep that in mind and be careful and patient.
