Sorry, this is VERY long. My very few posts are almost all long…
I have a friend who’s an orthopedics guy. This isn’t exactly his specialty, but here’s his take on my idea of doing a “cycle or two.” Let me know what those of you with actual experience think. If you want to save time, the last paragraph is really what I am interested in getting thoughts on…
--Very unlikely, but still at least statistically possible, that any healthy individual will cause permanent damage to liver/kidneys during 6-8 weeks of any activity (heavy drinking, light-moderate 17aa usage, or injectales). Thinks for the “general population” risks associated to kidneys/liver are overplayed with respect to steroids (non-17aa) and even moderate alcohol. Also, thinks risks associated with OTC painkillers are badly underplayed.
--Most concerning organ that one can damage is the kidneys: not too resilient. Liver is everyone’s concern, but it tends to recover better than kidneys, if given nice long breaks and can quickly repair from tremendous stress, almost 100%, if no cancer or scaring is present. These last two things CAN be induced quickly, but that is EXTREMELY unlikely. Nice thing about kidneys is they tend to scream out in pain quickly, liver tends to silently suffer. For the liver, 90% of hospital visits for this organ (whether alcohol, steroid, or toxin induced) have long-term good prospects. For the kidneys, though, a higher percentage of hospital visits are for conditions resulting in at least some permanent tissue necrosis.
--Biggest concern with is permanent damage to endocrine system. Usually damage to kidney/liver will present themselves (fluid retention, jaundice, throbbing back pain) as a result of usually first-stage correctable conditions: alcohol/roid induced hepatitis, high blood pressure, etc. Stopping immediately can halt/reverse damage at this point. Newbies will tend to stop b/c they will get scared. More experienced users, though, may have a tendency to ignore these symptioms. Endocrine system is trickier, as the damage is done and accumulates in hiding since the user is unaware of damages until OFF the cycle. Repair of endocrine system is slow at best and can lead people back to a cycle quicker than they had planned, out of desperation. Result may be that endocrine system never repairs...
If you insist on cycling, activites ranging from not so bad to horrendous:
--->Straight injectible cycle don't drink alcohol for the 8 weeks= no problem. Chances of something going wrong 1 in 1000's
--->Injectibles and "moderate drinking on Friday"= probably not too dangerous, but you obviously don't have your priorites straight. Chances of something going wrong 1 in 100's
-->Injectibles + 17AA= probably okay, but risks are up there. Chances of something going wrong 1 in 50 (he didn't like giving a "1 in" odds for this one).
-->Injectibles +17AA + T3/Insulin/GH= really better know what your doing, EASY to f' yourself up fast this way. Odds, 4 in 5.
-->17AA + alcohol or even Tylenol of any amount at anytime= extremely stupid. Odds, wasnt sure, but figured at least 4 of 5 five people would fuk themselves up. Said polypharmacy= very bad. Liver only likes one toxin at a time...
All this sounded pretty good to me really, but his recommendation is: don’t do it. Reasons: probably won’t achieve what I want, “just a couple cycles” isn’t the reality as it becomes addictive in a way, will quickly become dissatisfied with results from safer cycles and venture into more dangerous territory (ie: longer cycles, stronger roids, ignoring warning symptoms), best case scenario is: I would make good gains/modifications in the short term that would be exceptionally difficult to maintain w/o roids in the long term…
