im going away for 4-5 days over x-mas...i will still try to be active..but will my routine/strength suffer if i take that time off gym? i current weight train 4xp/w and cardio 4-5xp/w....im worried about taking the time off.
if i do...should i change my diet?

When I went away over Thanksgiving to my in-laws, I cooked my meals, as I usually do for work, and took them with me.

I found a local YMCA to work out in as well. If there is no local gym, take some aerobics tapes i.e. Tae Bo, or run/walk outside. For strength training you can do push ups and tricep dips, and you can work your abs as well.....

I also suggest you plug in "working out at home" into any search engine and I'm sure you'll get 1000 ideas there - or just go to muscleandfitnesshers.com and search their site for home workout ideas.

Bottom line: Where there's a will, there's a way.

No Excuses!

VDL :)

rez - don't sweat it. Enjoy your holiday. Do the best you can with your diet and training, but don't worry too much. The gym and the diet will be there when you get back. :)

You going to the outback or something of that sort? 4-5 days isn't that bad. I'd stop working out completely and give my muscles a rest for a while. Also if you have been working out and dieting for some time i would even take that extra 4-5 days to eat like a pig. Once you come back you will be more motivated to getting back to the gym and to eating properly. Your muscles and brain will thank you. Think about it.
