Take a look at this leg routine, thoughts?

What do you guys think of this for legs? I tried it yesterday and man was it a tough workout.

Leg Extentions- 3 set of 12 -Moderate Weight

Leg Press-2 sets of 20, 1 set of 25 -Heavy as possible (this one killed!)

Hack Squat-3 sets of 15 -Moderate Weight

Barbell Squat-1 set of 12, 1 set of 8, 1 set of 12 -Heavy on set of 8

Leg Curls-3 sets of 12- Moderate Weight

Groin Machine (for hockey)- 3 sets of 20 -Light

Hip Abduction- 3 sets of 20p -Light

I did warmups for all compound movements.

I was in a world of soreness after this workout, but since I only train legs one a week, I hit it hard and kill that shit.

i would squat first..i know some preach that they do extensions to warm up for squats but i dont buy that..to warm up for squats you should squat do as many sets as needed to warm your knees up..look s good though

i think if u do that routine ur legs are gonna have killer endurance. i think its fine, i mean, ur training for hockey right?? i bet with all the practicing u do, youd only need 2-3 exercises.

beast is right about squats first, but id only worry about that if ur building a base, or a power lifter, or lacking in quad development. i bet ur not though, i have a few hockey buddies that dont work legs at all, outside the rink, and their legs are huge and they are fast as hell.. tough mofo's too

i played hockey from 5 -22 and your right my legs were thick pretty much from skating all the time..hip strength is very important (deep squats) and the hipp abductor..the only thing i really ever did for my legs when playing were squats and vertical leg presses
