so here is my opinion. I think the guitar sounds a bit like maiden which is a good thing for me. Vocal wise I think they are currently in dangerous ground because they are inbetween metal and rock. Nickleback sells all the albums and bands like the one sammoth recommend(not for me) have their metal sound of today but small record sales. The inbetween ground does very little because of the few cross-over fans. They sound like they have skills I just think they need to define themselves.

great input guys.
The music these kids love is Zep, Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica and also softer stuff like Maroon 5.
Since these guys are so young, they are just trying to "figure" themselves out.
I'm a huge lover of music so have my own opinion lke; they need to define their style (like monster said), but just the fact that they are so young and writing all their own music is great.
What's also great is, girls throw panties at them when they play live shows.......;-)

Since these guys are so young, they are just trying to "figure" themselves out.

what can i say, other than I agree.....they certainly have some talent, and they need to keep pushing themselves, and refine their music.

a first listen, i'd say they could use some more guitar layering/harmony/complexity overall.....and edit out some of the long winded bridges

The bridges are way too long.
They made this demo in the singer basement. Live, they sounds much better.
They are young so yeah in a few years they will have mastered this.
They've only been playing together as a group for less than 2 yrs.

That is the Maiden. I think the trick to a band is staying together if you have talent and growing from there. I now the band Live and they did that exact thing to become good together. Most bands are always searching and that usually doesn't create success.

He did start young which is always a plus.
My friend who was in a famous band will help them out when the time comes. I hope for my nephew he makes it b/c he would not be happy doing anything else.
