Tailbone injury

About two weeks ago I hit a patch of ice and fell flat on my tailbone. After I thought the soreness subsided, I attempted a set of deadlifts. As soon as I went to pick up the weight I felt the injured area immensely. Same thing happened today when doing bent-over BB rows. I can only do about 70% of my normal weight, I just feel there is no pull there; it's not necessarily the pain affecting my lifts. Has anyone else experienced this? I would have thought a bone bruise wouldn't affect my lifts this much, or even better, would be gone by now.

Should I just lift what I can in the meantime?

I haven't experienced that personally, but I'd highly suggest seeing a doctor about that. I'm no expert, but if the soreness went away but you felt it again during the lifts, it would seem to me that the accident could've affected your disc alignment.

Damn, yea I'd suggest going to a doctor. I hurt my tailbone slightly when I first started snowboarding, I fell on it maybe four times that first day and it definitely hurt the next few days or so, but that was it. So if your feeling it now after two weeks, something might be up so I'd make sure and get it checked out.

My mom slipped and fell on her tailbone too. Broke it and discs went out of alignment. She was supposed to have a surgery but doctor said they have moved too much it is impossible to do the surgery.

It's a shitty place to have an injury, it heals very slow. Go see a doctor
