As I stated, if two men were talking like that near me, it would not offend me. I've hung around guys most of the time. Besides, I'm use to hearing that riding the subway in New York to school/work. I have heard worse coming from men walking past a construction site (not to me, but in general).

I agree with your last point. Men and women do this. A woman that is secure & confident does not need to "talk like a man" to sound stronger or get her point across. If anything, when a woman does that it shows how insecure she really is (and that she is likely doing it for attention).
