T3c.........

sup brolyman

i'm good, i've just been SO busy with work, lifting and school, maybe a little social life in there too

i'm taking the next 2 days off from lifting because i'm feeling run down. Instead of lifting on sunday I think i'm going to be making my atlas stones with my dad...that should be a workout in itself

training is going very well and i'm making some changes to my routine now

looks like you are progressing really well yourself

yea i think i definately need that down time sunday. instead of lifting i'll make stones

Cool man. How are you gonna make the stones? Did you rent a mold? Or are you gonna fill a kickball full of concrete?

Based on things like Bluegrass and this it looks like your parents support you a LOT in this stuff. That is great to hear.

Have a good time with that man.. it really wasnt all that difficult in my experience.

Be sure to let us know how they turn out.

Yeah, which method are you planning on using?

Can you take pics of the steps of the process if you have time?

Thanks man,

I do believe the NY crew has rented some molds.

I have done the plaster method, and the best advice I can give you is to make sure the plaster mold is THICK... otherwise it will break all to easy.

Thanks for the info, man. I ordered the ball for the molds last week.:)

I suspected that might be a problem, so I had planned to wrap the mold after it dried, in duct tape to strengthen it.

What ball did you use? I had to order a 40" ball (Max size) off the net cause the Mikasa rubber one I had started to lose shape badly as it got near the circumference I wanted.

We used the Mikasa ball for the mold. I made it with friends who dont do strongman all that much so we only made a 200lb stone.

You might want the Mikasa ball if you plan to make any stones around that weight; if the bigger ball is inflated to a low circumference, the weight of the plaster on the ball will make it shaped pretty funny.

Let us know how they turn out bro.
