I hardly think lowly landsers would qualify as the devil..

most of those guys were just soldiers.. they werent in the Nazi party and many of em had no idea what was going on back home with the jews.

The guards at the SS camps and common members of einsatzgruppen were commonly Ukranian POW's that volunteered to serve. Sobibor had approximately twelve German SS men who oversaw around 50 Ukranian former POW's that acted as guards and ran the death camp processes.

I forgot, you live in the sticks...

On the maternal side, I can trace family military service back to a private in the revolutionary army. On my paternal side, a Prussian officer in the Reichsheer, German Imperial Army. After WWI my grandparents immigrated and my grandmother HATED my mother, even as a child I saw it. :) She was of a different social class.... :)

I have no sympathy for the devil, I would spray him down like a roach and watch him flop around wanting to die, but unable to do so. But, that would make me a monster like him, so I might have mercy eventually.

Thanks! That was played on my "fat strat" which is essentially a strat with a humbucker at the bridge position (I was in the bridge position). Primarily I play blues; however our singer is an old Stones fan - and we usually finish up with a jam on Sympathy.
