Hi,
Im gonna be starting CKD tomorrow, ive got all my basics sorted, but just wondering what the deal is with supplements. I normally take a good multivitamin, vit c, glutamine, creatine, taurine, BCAA's etc.
Do i have to avoid any of these or can i take them as normal. Cheers

Mick

All of those will be just fine. Though I would consider adding calcium to the mix. I doubt you are going be ingesting the recommended 1000mg of calcium daily on a CKD diet.

I remember reading somewhere awhile ago that you should avoid taking niacin (i think because it will keep your body out of ketosis. I am not sure if it is niacin or not but I am pretty sure it is, I will look for the old post and post back up.
