Sounded gay and the concept sounded retarded but hot damn, this game is the best game i've played in a long time. Freakin hard as hell too.

The graphics astound me and I see no problems in Nintendo's future if they crank out more games like it. Wow, just check out the water effects.

Mario is my child-hood hero and I'll always keep after his new games. Love that chubby little mustached jumpin freak.

Bite me, XBox owners.
 
the summer after I graduated college I was staying at the house of my dad's girlfriend of the time. her son had a super nintendo and some game combo pack that had all of the super mario bros games up until that point.
number 1 and 2 ruled.
I played 1 until I beat it, which took a few hours - I had never beaten it as a kid seeing as I never had a nintendo and would have to use friends' systems.
but number 2 I played until my fingers were blistered and raw. I played for weeks.

obviously I suck at video games - but that number 2 (I think that was it - the one with the dinosaur) ruled.

I want all of those consoles, but I mainly just like to look at cool games, I suck at actually playing them.

i still have a shitload of games from n64 and psx that i never finished. mario 64 is one of them. the only reason i bought n64 was for mario and zelda. zelda..my lord...that was a fucking awesome game. i am currently working on finishing FFIX (nowhere near as good as FF7)
 
Don't forget Donkey Kong, the one that started it all.


Another game afterwards, which I cannot remember the name of, introduced Luigi. It was very similar to Donkey Kong but you could play in co-op mode with both Mario and Luigi.

Man, we used to play that game for hours at the roller-rink I used to work at, back in the stone-age.

Why you never finished SM64 is beyond me but Zelda was amazing. Look forward to a new Zelda for the cube AND supposedly, the new Starfox is supposed to play very similar to Zelda for the cube and Zelda 64. I can't wait.

FF7 definitely the best by far. Even PS2's FFX with all the graphic enhancements doesn't quite match up. Sephiroth is just one BAD MOTHERFUCKER and Cloud kicks so much ass.

I HATED FF8. It seemed like such a chore to finish.


Though, my fav. RPG of all time is still Chrono-trigger.:D
 
I got myself a gamecube just so I could play the big upcoming nintendo releases (mario sunshine, Metroid, and Zelda). I loved those nintendo games as a kid, and they always bring back good memeries when I play them now.

Mario sunshine is awesome. VERY difficult, (at least for me), and more importantly, VERY fun. That game will bring a smile to just about anyone's face. Nintendo really know how to make a game.

Oh my god that is my alltime fav game to. I have played that and beat it around 15 or 16 times. I have seen all the endings, got all the characters, best weapons, secrets, rainbow shell, all levels, everything. I always use robo, main character and the other one is interchangable, but I use the bc chick, or frog.

I wish chrono cross was as good, but it wasnt.

But nothing beats the original ff for nintendo. ff7 was good.

Mario rpg was also supurb.

Also I have some rpg's that I made that are good, but that was a long time ago.
 
Final Fantasy 7 is still bar-none the most superb video game I have EVER played.
 
Emerald and ruby are HARD........nope can't say I beatem. I actually cheated to find out how to breed a Gold chocobo too. *hangs head in shame*


Any of you dudes ever try Xenogears? Most excellent RPG if I say so myself.


Oh, I agree with Chrono Cross not being as good as the original either. It was ok, but that was about it.
 
ruby and emerald were hard as shit. i used w-summon and summoned hades and knights of the round (so bad ass) and would then mimic over and over again.

i still didnt beat them :(

I saw a friend beat ruby and emerald, took forever. Not worth it.
 
Im pretty sure I beat both of them...this was like 4-5 years ago but I know that I beat ruby weapon in the desert, I'm pretty sure I beat emerald weapon, if i remember correctly you do the w-summon, with nights of the round, and you need the underwater breather materia.
 
I beat Ruby and Emerald, I mastered Knights of the Round, used with summon on it, and mimiced it with everyone (I had 4 mimics maxed out) also had a final attack with Life2 on one of the guys that ressurected my whole party when emerald (by far harder then Ruby) used its attack that killed everyone outright..Ruby was simple as hell, after beating emerald u are given master materia, made the Ruby fight impossibly easy seeing how Cloud had every spell in the game

I liked Final Fantasy 8 the best actually, I just digged the whole love story I guess, I loved that game, neevr did beat Omega Weapon though..Final Fantasy 9 was ok, 10 was superb, I loved it..Final Fantasy 6 is still one of the better ones, longest and hardest still, and who can forget Kefkas maniacal laugh? lol

Xenogears still has the most complex story line Ive ever gone through, one of the best games Ive ever played, I liked Chrono Cross better the Trigger, that game was awesome, also Loved The Legend of Dragoon, kind of a game a lot of people don't know about, but the graphicvs are superb and its a great game..Also check out the Suikoden Games

I liked the Mario Bros games a ton, but the FF series is still by far my favorite
 
To me, FF 8 and 9 were tedious. I never beat 9. 8's ending was so retarded and drawn out, IMHO. Chrono Trigger was superb and one of the all time greatest RPG's next to FF7. FF6 on the SNES is also awesome. It's true...how could you forget goofy old Kefka, and the green haired girl....She was such a tortured soul.

I never beat Emerald...I just don't have the patience. Legend of Dragoon wasn't really THAT good but it was good to pass time. Secret of Mana was so good and the graphics were so vivid and awesome, not to mention the catchy music.

Back to Nintendo, I was kind upset when the team announced the artistic change on Zelda since the earliest images of the realistic Link were so awesome looking. To get an idea, he looked just like the Link from Smash Bros. Supposedly, they designed the new Zelda so onlookers won't be able to tell the difference between a cartoon and the video game. I hope that's true cuz i think they butchered the legacy, otherwise. I'm also scared about Metroid Prime being a first person shooter like doom. What's up with that? I think Miyamoto (creater of Mario, Link, Samus Aran, etc.) is getting nutty in his old age with these odd changes. Luigi's mansion and Pikmin are perfect examples. He's gone and played one video game too many.
