Sunburn!!!

Anyone have any tips for taking care of a sunburn? I hit the beach yesterday for like 3 or 4 hours with no sunblock...stupid i know. I got a nasty sunburn, and then I went back today with some sunblock, but it didn't help much...so now it's worse.

Right now I'm putting some lotion on it with aloe. Anyone have any secret recipes for sunburns? Hopefully someone knows something that stops it from peeling...I don't mind the pain from the burn so much...but I don't want to peel.

Somebody help me! (that's a sunburnt face, not a mad face):kitty:

Nutrogena After Sun Treatment available at Target. I found it with the sunscreen etc. You will most likely peel some but it is really good stuff and will help.

Thanks! I'm heading to the mall in a little while, I'll pick some up.

Anyone else?

Sunscreen before you hit the beach helps! :-)

Aloe is the best IMO!

Anyone love peeling skin from a person who had a sunburn? I have this addiction..I love the sound of ripping skin from a ripe burn after a few days. Ziiiiiipppppp.

I'm so excited I can hardly wait...;-)

Be sure NOT to use any lotion from now til then..I love to rip the skin off in 2 inch sheets! Ziiiip.

LOL! I gotta agree, if I have to peel, I like it to come off in big chunks. Maybe I'll lay off the lotion and try to get it to come off in one big piece...like a snake.:)

Use that antiseptic spray they use for burns. the stuff that stings at first but then feels cool on the skin. (I can't remember the name of it) you get it at wal-mart. after that soaks in for 5 minutes goop on the aloe vera. then repeat every 3 or 4 hours. This has worked the best for me. Way better then aloe alone

I'll give it a shot, not really sure i know what you're talking about though...but I'm thinking it's some sort of astringent?

It's a type of first aid type thing for minor scrapes and burns. All i know is it is in a white spray can and has a picture of a red cross on it. hope that helps

I got a nice tan yesterday, but i forgot to block my feet... burned them pretty bad. I put on vaseline skin treatment formula w/ aloe and well, shit worked wonders. The burn was gone this morning. :)

I love peeling skin too! I coudl do it for hours. Too bad I never burn or I'll peel my own.

Aloe is the best especially when kept in the fridge.

Bro, forget all these synthetic chemical solutions.

Do you have alcohol in the house? Preferably 40%+ and COLD, from a freezer??

Wet Bounty Towers with it, and apply to affected areas every 5 minutes. You will see how fast it will take aaway heat from your burned areas.

Im with ya an old timer iron worker told me to use rubbing alchol or vinegar. I burn like a friggin lobster. and alcohol works good for taking the heat out makes it alot more tolerable.

My girl and I went to the pool for 3 hours today. I got burned...she got brown. Those darn Greek Cypriots...lol...
