A few weeks tied up in someone's basement that cannot be tied to you with daily threats or physical pain might work.

just out of curiosity, if you did "talk" to him (in whichever way you choose), would the
likely end result be any worse than if you did nothing?

in other words, would she have a chance at something good if the situation went on as usual?

if you do have occasion to converse with this obnoxious fellow, perhaps you can think of a way to make him want to leave. he seems a stupid, shallow animal...maybe you can point him in the direction of some other rotting piece of meat.

by the way, how old are these kids involved?

Thanks for all the suggestions and concern. My other sister has already spoken with the police, I have to talk to her to find out what's going on at this point. This is a difficult situation but I will do what I can to protect that baby and my sister.
