stupid internet issues

So I am switching from dsl to cable for my internet. Well I had the tech come and install it all today for me. I cannot access the fuckin internet off of it. My tcp/ip will not renew.Almost like it is bound to verizon.When I do the run, cmd, ipconfig/renew it keeps telling me my rpc is unavailable. What bullshit!
So I say after fighting on the phones and on this computer since 8 am "well screw it" I will just use verizon for now....Hahahahaha
I could not get back on the net at all. I had to finally do a system restore to get back on again..So the tech support for the cable comp says to call my comp manufacture..Well my warantee ended a few months ago, so I have to pay to talk to a tech.What a joke! So I yelled at the guy and said that I will never buy a nother HP again and that i will tell every one I talk to that HP sucks! lololol
I am soooo pissed.

WOOHOO I fixed the issue. Now my internet is super speedy.....
HOwever- I am using firefox and the page is small. almost like it has a footer.How do i fix it? Please help me!

Right so I spend all damn day on the phone with the cable company tech's...They cannot get it to show an ip addy and they cannot give me a ip addy to put in manually. So they tell me to call my damn manufacturor.So I do that and they tell me that my warrantee expired and i need to pay for any phone tech support! LOL. I freak out and tell them that there product sucks yadda yadda yadda..
Come to find out I reset my comp so i could access the internet from the previous network provider people....And well I do a little research and I guess my
DHCP was not turned on. That is what goes along with comps reading IP an DNS when hooking up internet.
So I shut down the comp last night and went to bed. This morning I got up and I could not get on the net to work again. So I had to set my dhcp to automatic turn on or what ever. It is soooo retarded! Hopefully it will work from now on.
But damn, Now I have 1 million pop up bullshits. I turned off the pop ups in E.I.
However I still need help

My firefox like I said has a footer on it so the page is only have as big as it should be--How do I fix that?

And my I.E needs to be fixed. It is retarded. Can I uninstall that one and reinstall a new one? Maybe an updated one? I need some thing with good pop up add protection and some thign that wont end up giving me viruses and trojans. I have a protection from mcafee however, shit can still slide in..
Any one recommend any thing worthy?

God, I am a genious.My I.E had severe problems with it.....I fixed it..Thank god, no more stupid pop up adware...
May I add with it that both norton antivirus protection and Mcafee protection Stink!!!!!!
