I've seen some reprints of some of his architectural studies and he had real talent for painting buildings. I think the Viennese school that rejected him must've placed a higher emphasis on being able aptly capture the human form as well because he clearly had talent.

Walk through town with a hammer and sickle shirt on.....then the next day do the same with a swastika shirt. Guaranteed the latter will offend far more people. When was the last Hollywood movie made that docu-drama'd all the millions of deaths the Soviet Union was responsible for? Answer: it doesn't matter. They were our ally.

i agree with hansel. now according to the way history is written, they were animals and russians liberators.

history is always written by the victors. i have a cossack friend who lost his whole family during stalins purges, just for suspicion. you didn't even have to do anything wrong in stalins russia or hitlers germany, just had to be accused and the suspician was more than enough to have you killed.
