Strong painkillers...

You do know opiates are very addictive and will rot your stomach after a few years. My wife's mother was on morphine patches because they didn't think she would live long enough to be a problem. 4 years later the doctors were trying to figure out how to get her off the morphine because the drug was going to kill her. She died the day after our wedding shower BTW. Know the long term effects of what ever your taking, just a word of advice.

My father in law suffers from restless legs, he was prescribed quinine and it helped him a lot with the symptoms.

I do know if quinine is the same a co-q10 or not if it is then you can buy it OTC

Virtually every compound that treats pain has effects on the stomach and other organs (especially liver)... NSAIDS are just as bad or worse.

Tylenol and other OTC PK's do as much liver damage as a hard night of drinking

Im looking for advice/tips about painkillers..
I got something called Painful Restless Legs Syndrome, or thats what the doctors think it is (they're not 100% shure). Anyways, if I use the leg alot (walk or run), I get lots of pain later of the day, hence I take strong painkillers my doc prescribed to me for that.

Atm. I take Tramadol (brands: Tradolan/Nobligan), the problem is I get very weak and tired of it. I only take it when I really need it because of the side effects. Anyone can recommend other types I could try?
Tramadol is a opioid/opiate, simelar to morphine, but not as addictive and other side effects.

Other painkillers Ive tried, but that dont work; Salicylic acid (Aspirin, Kodimagnyl), ibuprofen, tried another one aswell but cant remember its name.

I havnt tried regular morphine, shoud I try that?
It would be nice to have a painkiller that can take the pains, but aswell can enhance my workout.
Refers to websites with good info is welcome too ;)

Speak out :)

what's up man? just read your thread about pain in your legs. If you are really restless, then why doesn't your doc prescribe a benzodiazapine such as xanax, or valium, and for the pain, what kind of pain are you in, on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worse pain. If you're above a 6 or so, then you definitely need an opaite pain releiver. Just remember, they can be very addictive over a long period of time. I've got a bum leg, had 6 surgeries on my left knee since last october, I'm waiting on a knee replacedment surgery in Jan or Feb 07. I was in a unbearable amount of pain, no narcotic opiate pain reliever would work for me. I had Rxs for hydrocodone 10 mg/325, oxycodone 10/500mg, tramadol 100 mg time released ( which is not a opiate), ibuprophen 800 mg, and I'm on 85 mg of methadone ( one of the strongest opiates there is)/day. I just stopped takeing everything except methadone, ibuprophen, celebrex, and tramadol. The narcotics did nothing except make me tired. They did not have a negative effect on my workouts though. Of course, I never took a handful of pills right before working out either. good luck with your condition, if something doesn't work at first, tell your doc and try something different.

they prescribed you methadone for pain? i thought they only prescribed that at clinics for heroin addiction. that methadone is some potent shit. ive doen most of those recreationally and i dont see why docs would give out something so weak such as hydrocodone when you also take methadone, if you are building a tolerance for something so strong, why take the weak shit?

Why would you use methadone recreationally? It doesn't give the rush/high sensation like other opiates, which is why it's used to treat with withdrawals symptoms of heroin and similar drugs.

i know it doesnt give the high like percocet or similar. but it made me feel amazing. best bang for the buck. why spend money on a rackload of percs when i can spend 10$ on 1 methadone and be good for a day?
