Strength routine to stimulate new gains?

I'm looking ahead to fall and bulking. I seemed to have plateaued with traing to failure for years. I use a low volume with a slower negative, as this has seemed to work for me, or it did for a while anyway in the past. I've changed exercises and it didn't benefit me too much, only with traps really. I was thinking of doing a 5x5 routine come this fall. Any comments as far as strength training to stimulate new growth? Thanks.
 
strenght training was the best thing for me. i've gained more muscle training this way in 3 mths than 6mths of training how i did b4. i train with a wsb routine with me lower day, fewer exercises bc i do events that day also. i love this way of traing and will never quit it. the events anyways....;)
 
I also have made more progress in ~7 months of training like a powerlifter/strongman, from a bodybuilding standpoint, than I ever had previously.

The fact is, when you train for strength, you can't ignore the money exercises that will help you the most in bodybuilding.
