I lift pretty much as a bodybuilder and am pretty damn strong compared to regular people, but some of the numbers strongmen and powerlifters post are much more than I can lift. Pound for pound, the amount of weight that these guys can lift is significantly more and my question is why?1)Neuromuscular efficiency 2) Greater white to red fiber ratio 3) More efficient lifting mechanics or 4) Some other reason I am not aware of. Does anybody have any opinion on how well powerr, strongman or bodybuilder strength translate into athletic strength?
