Cute story....

My hubby is into muscle cars---- BIG TIME!

Each year they have a classic car show and my old man always enter's a couple of his cars.(He also have a 1/4 mile drag car that he races- Racing is in his blood)

Anyhoo...He was at this car show last year. There are 100's of people all over the state of Ohio who bring their cars to this show. They take the cars out and cruise on blocked off street so the people can view all the show cars. Of course this leads to the men reeving what's under 'da hoods.

My hubby wanted to do a head's up race with some guy from Akron. He goes over the the guy and asks him if he wants to do some racing in the country. (This guy came over to see my hubbies car earlier and was bragging about his own car)

Sooo....We all head out into the country. My hubby and him get out of cars and make their bet's. (If I recall, they bet $50 bucks) I head over to get into the car. Hubby proceeds to tell me that I can't drive along..."WFT?" , I ask. He say's, "Less weight with you out". "Prick", I respond. He laughs.

Anyhoo...They line 'em up. I send 'em off down the road.

Local sheriff just so happens to show up while they are in the midst of dragging. I'm pissing my pants! I'm more worried I'm gonna be stuck out in the middle of the boonies- I CAN'T DRIVE A STICK SHIFT!

All in all...This little "fun" cost them both a hefty ticket and court costs.

If you ask him about it he'll only recall that he WON the race!

It was the big shit in Houston. The guys would meet up at Miami Subs on Westhiemer and cruise/race. Unfortunately all of the want-to-be rice burners have ruined it for everybody. Now the police have cracked down because of these worthless punks. They know their cars are family Hondas and are not fast. In order to prove themselves they speed and drive in a reckless manner. They endanger other drivers, weaving in and out of traffic, so they have done several stings and cut it down. There are cops everywhere now on fri,sat night so it's useless.

we used to race down in between to counties in missouri, so cops or sheriffs couldn't get you, only highway patrol (something like that anyways) it was called "2 lane" I believe. and people would actually bring cars on trailers to race. and this was a 55mph country road lol. people brought cars with freaking wheelie bars and parachutes. it was crazy.

for being a tank sitting at 6400lbs 0-60 in 5.5 is bad ass. and as soon as i drop in some new gears and my beru chip arrives its gonna do 0-60 in 5 flat, beating most stock sports cars on low end speed. It fast for an SUV and when i pull up to little rice rockets revving my engine, then soar by them, they never know what hit them

ANYWAY, THAT THING COMES FROM THE DEALER GETTING 8-10 MPG.....HOW MUCH ARE YOU GETTING SINCE YOU ADDED TURBOS? ONCE YOU ADD GEARS, YOU CAN SUBTRACT A FEW FROM THAT NUMBER TO. DAMN, YOU ARE GONNA WIND UP GETTING 2 GALLONS PER MILE AFTER ITS ALL SAID AND DONE (YES, 2 GALLONS PER MILE).

It gets about 10 mpg... I went to a hummer party in colorado during winter, and there was a guy who had an h2 done by breathless performance dynoed at 750 hp did the quarter in 12.8 and got something like 17 or 18 mpg
