stomach vaccums?

Anyone do them? I've read your supposed to exhale completely and suck in your stomach. Are you supposed to hold your breath as you hold or do you breath?
 
Always breathe regularly! Breathing is the most important part of any exercise! They were pretty effective for me but you should also use regular abdominal workouts! :)
 
I thought stomach vaacums were done by exhaling and then pulling your stomach in for 5/10 secs and then inhale and get ready for the next rep
 
Stomach vacuums are A#1 for getting your gut to stay sucked in with relatively little effort. Will make you look better while walking around. Doing this exercise trains the muscle that keeps your stomach sucked in. Crunches and leg raises do not. It is best to do a few first while kneeling on all 4's as this will make it harder from gravity pushing exactly opposite of the way you are sucking in. Then a couple standing. Probably best to these after each ab workout as they are taxing.

This is what I thought you're supposed to do. How are you supposed to breath when you have your stomach sucked in?
