I am though, 1200 bucks towards the ongoing remodling on the house. So far it's travertine throughout the house but the bedrooms, new crown molding and baseboards, paint, new back door, and all new hardware. I disagree. The stimulus check is actually a credit against 2008 taxes. I believe you will get it regardless of what you owe for 2007.

NPR said you had to file by the original deadline, not the extension, in order to get the stimulus check.....
