Steroids - they don't understand!

Why is it that some people (idiots) think that steroids are no better than alcohol, cocaine, heroine, etc.? I have a brother that believes this all the way. He told me this yesterday at Thanksgiving when no one else was around. I tried to explain to him that hard recreational drugs and anabolic steroids can hardly be compared to each other, b/c they are entirely different drugs. He said that people that use steroids, get the same anticipation before a cycle, similar to what people have before a big night out partying with drugs like alcohol and cocaine. He said that people use steroids to feel good just like a drunk and his alcohol. Some people just don't understand and it's frustrating to try to get through to someone that doesn't have an open mind on the subject. He believes that bodybuilders are no better than addicted heroine junkies!

Actually I just keep my mouth shut and everytime some "guru" who has seen a 60 minutes segment on steroids tells me about them and how bad they are I play ignorant and just nod my head and think to myself...whatever
