Steroids are just like HEROIN........

I train people myself and I'd absolutely love to be in the spot you're in someday. However, it's gotta suck knowing that you're constantly being scrutizized by "the man" because of your open opinion and honesty. In addition, because you dabble in a highly contraversial/illegal subject, some random 3 lettered organization might see fit to falsify/fabricate charges against you whenever they feel like it. Sure, the charges may eventually be dropped. It's still gonna cost an a$$load in legal fees to keep your name clean. Is living in that proverbial house of glass 24/7 worth it?

Remember Duchaine always talking about the feds going through his garbage every week? That had to suck-but he made his bed.

Is it worth it? It takes a certain personality type, I think...

But then again, it takes a certain personality type to quit their job to write about steroids full-time, without a safety net, right? I made that decision almost two years ago, and when I was asked recently what I would have done different, all I could think to say was that I would have quit my old job sooner.

(I was a crisis worker/ teacher in a school for the emotionally handicapped)

I must commend you on your work. Although I've only heard you speak on a radio show once and that was a long time ago, I have to give you your dues. If you weren't doing it, then who would? We need people getting the message out so that maybe one day we don't have to worry so much about what we do.

from Alwyn Cosgrove, regarding HRT:

"What’s weird is that a “transsexual” male, once approved psychologically can take feminizing drugs to make him into a woman. But a man can’t take drugs to make him more of a man! What an ass backward world we live in."
And a trans woman can take precription test to become more of a man!
Going back to the kernal of truth buried in the haystack of misinformation however......we all know that anabolics are indeed an addictive substance to many of us. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are like heroin, but it is just as irresponsible to say they are completely non-addictive!

funniest part of the whole episode right there... .especially the "settled in his hips" part... LMAO

I mean WHAT does that even mean?!

what it means is he was confused ... commonly in medical use the term steroids is applied to corticosteroids (vs. anabolic steroids) which can over time weaken bones. cortico steroids have serious side effects for the most part totally different side effects than anabolic steroids ... even educated people who should know better at times confuse this issue... remember birth control pills are also steroids ... bla, bla, bla - point being there are different types of steroids with different side effects

lotta people on here sound like they graduated from harvard with a degree in steroid studies. Shit steroids has its negative sides, whats the big suprise? yet theres a new thread like this every week

then you got these same people making a thread saying "is training without steroids pretty much worthless to you". I'm sure some heroin addict out there is saying is "living without drugs meaningless to you"?

Steroids can give rise to impotence and oligozoospermia, which can increase the likelyhood of a deformed foetus. If you hit a vein, your body will try to eject the gear via the lungs. Gear does settle in the body: Deca, for example is still detectable 18 months after a cycle and likely persists for years afterwards at sub-detectable levels, especially in a user carrying a higher BF.

A lot of the media anti-gear hype is based on fact. It's just that, as usual, it's blown up to become sensational to make either a point or a story. As users, we do take a risk every time we run a cycle and we research to try to minimize the risk but let's never get blazé about using gear. Just look at the number of threads we get on here every month with the title "Help!" or "Urgent Advice Needed" or similar.

That said, most here know pretty much what they're doing to keep risks to a minimum and the general public knows only what the current crop of politicians cares to tell them for their own agenda.

Good post, dude!

news stories about average guys carefully using AAS with moderate to good results wouldn't have very good ratings now would they ? I don't listen to the Matt lauers that have an agenda I do my own homework and march to my own drum..... I have the severe acne to prove it

This is something that is very true, and many people who use AAS refuse to admit it. AAS are definatley very mentally addicting. I'd say they rank way up there for mental addictive potential.

I love how all we have to do for social acceptance is to give it a different name. Add the fact you have a valid Rx and all seems to be forgiven.

So true. If i'm on 200mg of test a week im a steroid abuser and exposing myself to all kinds of side effects but put me on HRT on the same dose and I am accepted just like millions of other men, with no negative media.
