i dont post here too much but i think i can help. tell your boy not to worry. and not to admit to anything when they put him in the red room. they basically take you to a million diff places to get vaccinated, shaved, issued gear, etc. all this takes two or three days and when i went through we were not allowed to sleep. after two days or so they put you in a big red room and start pressuring you to admit to things youve done in the past. i knew some kids who got scared and confessed to drug or steroid use. outcome? they take your contract and take away all guarantees and make it an open contract. meaning you end up a cook or infantry boy after bootcamp. i would advise your boy to do a good long cycle before going in as they do not check for AAS. just tell him not to admit to anything if they start asking questions. as far as getting tested while in, there is almost zero chance that will happen. the CO can order it but has to have good reason to do this. ive actually never seen anyone get bothered for use. even when its blatantly obvious. a guy in my unit gained something like 50 pounds in two or three months time and never got bothered for that. if your boy wants a free pass every single time theres a piss test just tell him to wet his finger with diesel fuel before pissing. when he is pissing have him dip his finger in the piss. this will fuck up any tests they do. yes. i have seen this work personally. a friend of mine was on crystal meth and got tested about 5 or 6 times and always came out clean. the unit knew he was using and finally had to settle for charging him under something else. if your boy is smart tell him to go to college instead. in the fuckin marine corps they make you earn your pay and your liberty. i would not recommend it to anyone who has any kind of future. maybe if youre homeless or need to get away from bad influences for a while. otherwise id say its better to enjoy being a free person. the marine corps builds and programs robots. ive been out for 3 years and people still can tell i was in. later.
