A lot, no. But yes there are body builder who die pretty young. Years and years of steroid abuse probably contributed to liver, kidney, heart, etc problems but I don't think steroids have been directly named as the cause of death.
The majority of health complication from aas come from ABUSE. I could abuse twinkies, get diabetes and die that way too though.

Well ... you can start by reading a book called " Death in the locker room " published back in the 80's to scare the crap out of anyone willing to read it i'm sure .
The key word is " abuse " .... Abuse of anabolics can lead to all kinds of health issues including death , so your first line of defence is to stop and learn how these drugs work and whats considered a reasonably safe dosage .
Lack of education is one thing that can " kill " in this industry .. so start reading and start educating yourself .

Its like alcohol. A beer a night..you are fine. A fifth of jack a night...problems. But think how many old,old alcoholics you see! The body can take a lot of abuse. The good thing athlets have on their side is they exercise and eat much better than the average joe blow alcoholic.

The big question is----- What is 'abuse'? Is it a gram of test a wk, or 5 grams a wk? I would imagine that anything under 1-2 grams a week of test for a few months a year is going to have much long-term detrimental effect. But then again, my liver could explode like a cherry bomb and I wouldn't be around to complain about it- So I guess you never know what the coup-de-grace is, really...

well my 'friend with benefits' has nearly died of exhaustion. see i am on a dbol, deca, sust stack, and i am hittin it like 5 times a day for a week now. poor girl also almost drowned too

Watch Pumping Iron the anniversary edition when all the old top BBs with Arnold come and meet up for reunion. They are healthy and active even with there large amounts of steroids. And remember that was before a lot of the science and education was all out. PCT was unheard of. I dont know what all the older vets did back in the day without all the knowledge that we have now. Must have been all trial and error. Shitty. Now look at the old woodstock vids.....tell me thier health condition now.. of whos left.
