Staying on track for Christmasby changing routine

Thinking about changing my routine now so I'll be ready for my kids' Christmas vacation and the challenge of making it to the gym. Right now I'm doing a full body workout on Monday, on Wednesday spin class and then upper body and Friday spin class and then lower body. I'm pretty happy with the results but I know that I won't have the time over Christmas break (5 weeks). I am considering taking the 5:30 am spin class, go home, dress and feed the kids, and then back to the gym. I can do a 45 minute routine the second time in the gym. I am limited by childcare time limits. I won't be able to eat anything before the spin class. What should I eat that will replenish me and help me have a good weightlifting session. My goal is to maintain the progress I've made and not gain holiday weight. Any recommendations on a good cereal? I also considered that maybe I should add more cardio to help burn off extra calories. (I'm teaching my kids to bake so I have to taste everything.)Thanks, JCK

Hot cereal is always a good carb before lifting.
Oatmeal.
Cream of wheat.
Farina.

I'm sure there are others.

Cream of Wheat, really? I love Cream of Wheat especially now that it is getting chilly. I tried Full Circle Golden Flax cereal- very boring but edible.
