startin cuttin in two weeks. will this work?

Ok Iv never cut before and Don't really want to cut down to anything below 10 % bf. I think right now im around 18%. right now I have been eating around 3000 cals a day. If I cut it down to around 2000 a day and started Hiit 3 times a week will this signifigantly reduce my bf within the next 2 months? I am 19 by the way.
 
I would not cut from 3000 to 2000 immediately. That's a great way to lose muscle. Slow and steady, while keeping protein intake high
 
It all depends on your metabolism, but a cut of 1000 calories immediately will cause some problems. I usually cut 250/day the first week, 250 more (so 500 from initial total) the second week, and by the third week I feel my body is well prepared to go into a deficit. Mine is around ~2200cals.
 
why forget hiit? Iv read that its really good for only fat? I must been mistaken i guess. What type cardio should I do then?
