I just wanted to say, "ouch" :D

seriously, I am very excited. Just haven't worked out for awhile and am in some pain.

Thank you shadow for all the info. I am excited about watching my body change! That diet plan is priceless and would cost me a small fortune elsewhere.

Thank you so much. For some reason, I have to wait 720 seconds before each post?!?

Anyway, I am a work in progress and this is definitely going to be challenging. I am very psyched to see what changes will happen over the next few months.

Hmm - it should only be that way for a certain amount of posts.

Thanks everyone. Coming on here everyday and reading the threads and looking at the contest pics (congrats bunny!) really helps to keep me motivated. you all look freaking amazing.

Don't know if anyone will be checking in on this thread but I didn't want to start a new one. Just giving an update.
Still doing the plan, having trouble with motivation. Really missing carbs. When I do HIIT cardio, I have trouble breathing, but I guess that is normal. Still at it...I know I can do it. Looking at everyone's threads is definitely helpful.

Want to look like an "ass of granite" (tso!) by my anniversary...Dec. 16

That's normal when starting a lower carb plan or when you first bring them down.....you will eventually get used to it, tho it's hard at first....

Thanks Jens. I really hope it does get better. Finding myself actually "mourning" the loss of carbs. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I feel a bit depressed.

Having a tough time with eating so much protein. Throwing around the idea of using a fiber supplement like Metamucil.

Workouts are good, difficult to get motivated first thing in the morning when I am so sore but I know that the results will be worth it.

Eating ratio is 48/23/29. Calories are at between 1500-1600 daily. Haven't lost much weight but am noticing difference in stomach area. That alone is what keeps me going!! Need more recipes on eating chicken. I've exhausted so many of them. Looking at recipe thread today....

Thanks florencia!

Today I woke up a lot more motivated. Realized that I am in total control of my cravings and whether I choose to give in to them or not.

Worked out again first thing before eating. Feeling pumped and energetic. Will visit my new nephew today and then go grocery shopping. Still sore but feels good.

Browsed recipe thread yesterday and got some good ideas. Also re-read TSO, Bunny, Sassy, Treilin, Badger, Miss 24, Boston and Florencia logs for motivation. Very helpful.

Re-reviewed the shadow plan to make sure I am on track and updated all logs in my fitday software.

Had protein shake (100% whey) with water as post workout shake.

3 egg whites and 1 whole egg with 1/2 cup oats for breakfast.

Had a "smartmeal" that I purchased from a lady here in Houston for lunch. 48 grams protein, 342 cals, 4 grams fat, 28 carbs.

Handful of almonds and some cottage cheese for a snack.

Will be having 4 oz chicken breast for dinner with broccoli.

Evening snack will be another protein shake.

1317 cals (too low) 181 grams protein (55%), 77 grams carbs (23%), 30 grams fat (20%).
