Your beginning a basically concentric only movement with your back in what seems to be a bad position once your under weight. Going from no stress and no gear to 300 lbs or whatever more than you can do fully geared up, I just don't see the benefit. On your third attempt after failing twice, you did hit it... I'm not questioning your tenacity, I just don't see the use... I'm sure your strong and young with a healthy back but injuries come in the weirdest situations.
I've trained with and been taught by some of the best squatters in the world and have never seen these guys do it nor heard of them doing it... that's all... not saying there is only one way to do it cuz I know plenty that don't work, just saying...
No I don't do lockouts, I have a strong lockout and strong off my chest, I stall 3-5 inches of my chest so I do plenty of board work in that area and work lockouts by other means...
Like you, I train my weakpoint until I find a new one but I was just offering up my thoughts...
Thank you for writing out all that, i DEF do see your opinion and i will seriosuly take note of it.
same with me on bench, i only stall off the chest as like you.
thank you for your opinion.
