Squat Day w/Tec & SK*

I am posting this before the actual pain that willbegin in one hours time.

I am listening to "we're not gonna' take it" by Twisted sister

This serves as todays motivation. I shouldn't have to accept being a noodle anymore. I'm not gonna take it.

Posts with videos of pain and aggression to follow :)
 
How far are you willing to go?

I better not see a PR that looks easy!!!

That is bullshit!!! I want to see pain and struggle and I want your body to earn that PR!

1” Below Parallel Box Squats – 10 sets of 2
Pull throughs - 4 sets of 10
Barbell Rows – 3 sets of 10
Thick Bar Shrugs w/2” – reps until failure,
Thick Bar rvrs curls w/2” – 3 sets of 8
 
Here's how my day went. I will get some vids up later. I have to go out for a while now.

Box Squats
210 - 9 sets of 2
280 - 1 set of 1
Pull Throughs
100 - 4 sets of 10
Barbell Rows
225 3 sets of 5
Pull Ups
1 set of 12
Spread Eagle Sit ups
35 - 3 sets of 5

I REALLY ENJOY THE LEARNING AND COMRADERIE WITH THESE GUYS. WE MISS YOUR PRESCENCE SUSTON!!!!!
 
Great workout guys.

I've been working on my squat form, I think I am getting better. Knees aren't coming in anymore.

I do have a huge problem with keeping my elbows under the bar though. I feel as though I am not flexible enough. My wrists start going in an akward position, I lose the tightness, and my wrists hurt. Feels almost like I don't fit under the bar???

Any suggestions?

Not sure, but my elbows flare out on good mornings too and there was a vid of me doing those from sunday.

I feel like if I put my elbows under the bar, then the bar needs to go much higher for my arms to fit. My wrists get twisted and hurt real bad.

I'll see if t3c has any vids. If not, then we'll take some next time. :)

I might be around one of these days.

sk* try a wider grip and work on shoulder flexability. work slowly and find where you fit. Keep and arch tight it is easier on the shoulders IMO

Thanks man, tried a few grips today. It didn't work any way really. Maybe I just need time to get flexible ...

My third set on box squats is my first with the bar (first two sets are body weight) and it is my toughest to get under.

im the same way, you would think i didnt know how to box squat if you saw my first 2-3 sets...... my form has always gotten better on squats, the heavier i go.

yea..i saw that from your vids...form was gettin better with each progressin set..that's how i am too!! tb
