Sprained delt

Ok, I don't know when I sprained it, but during the night it hurt like a bitch laying face up. I couldn't sleep, until around 7am I figured if I layed chest down it doesn't hurt at all. Right now it doesn't hurt, only if I raise and bend my arm back-upwards. It sucks because it's my right arm, and it seems typing stresses it more.

Can anyone tell me how to help it heel quicker because I need to go work out tomorrow. Maybe I can backwards my training cycle for this week, but I hope it heels by Friday. THoughts? Thanks...
 
If its still hurting you come time to lift, I would stay away from it as much as possible, dont aggravate it more...or you could be looking at a long time out of the gym...

you may need to take little time off, get it checked out and find what exactly is wrong with it. But the worst thing you want to do is injure it more pushing it to work in the gym.
 
Will definitely get it checked by the doc this week
ZGzaZ, unless I'm hoping it's gone by tomorrow. Thanks louden, crossing fingers! if it heels I won't do delts this week, but must work chest and shoulders grrr!
 
It doesn't sound like a sprain, I tore my delt, and had no problems sleeping. IT sounds more like you've knocked the shoulder out of joint. A chiro could help if that is the case.

Well I woke up this morning and the pain is going away edgecrusher. I dunno, but it's healing. Gonna take a week off, and gonna do lower body only.
 
I had a problem very similar to this, I couldn't figure out what the heck it was!... it hurt like hell when I tried to sleep on my side, but I could rotate fully.. so it didn't seem to be rotator cuff.. it started to feel better during the week, I even deadlifted/benched/squated the following week.. didn't seem to bother it at all.. just would hurt when I'd lie on that side.. its about a weak and a half later and its pretty much gone..

no clue what caused it.. it started to hurt 3hrs after BJJ..
