Spoke to a "powerful government client I train today about the hormone/ephedra ban

I was just down in DC today training a client of mine who works for, lets just say the governement. He asked me if I was aware of the law that they were considering to ban otc hormones and ephedra that George sent a mass e-mail about a couple months ago.
When he asked my opinion about it, I decided to tell him only because I think he could have some pull speaking to the right people. I explained to him what prohormones and prosteroids were in Laymans terms, and I think I was able to convince him to see the healthiness behind it when used correctly. Just because something raises certain levels in the body does not mean that it is dangerous. The main thing I spoke to him about was the proof. Find that it is harmful. By the end of the session he was fired up, smiling, and ready to try them. Hopefully more people like this will start to understand.
My question is this? How can we sell cigarettes here and than try to put pro-hormones, prosteroids, and ephedra, and supplements in the same catagories as cocaine?? I can see it now.....FUTURE TEENAGER: I got a bottle of andro and dhea, lets party!! Lord, I sure hope someone in DC gets a brain reguarding supplements. I think you need to be 18 to buy them and that should be it. Otherwise cigarettes is the biggest joke of the century..nahh laws in the US are never dicated by cash.

Explain how Ephedra makes your mind and body better!!! I just can't see the connection. Maybe you think because you get the body you want it will improve your mind but im betting its only psychological. I.M.O No studies show it improves your mind or body only that it can be dangerous even if used at the recommended dosage. Depends on the person's physiology and other aspects of his/her life!!!

Bottom Line:

Big pharmaceuticle companies fund the politicians campaigns. Supplements companies are small in scale and cannot afford to lobby the politicians as the big boy's can. These smaller guy's need to unite, in which I believe they are doing so and get a common voice to get their word out and change what has been stereotyped by media.

There are tons of studies that show ephedrine hcl's favorable effect on body composition. Also, the reported rate of complications per user for ephedra is lower than aspirin.

What i mean is you think your mind is improving because of what you see on the outside. That's simply what i meant. The Machine as far as those studies go (recent ones) i would love to see as many as you can provide as i am a little skeptical on info. these days!!! Thank you...

This who issue isnt even about health, its about our freedom and what this country was founded on. Its an extreme case of hipocracy when the government allows cugaretts and acohol to be sold to anyone of age which have been proven to take hundreds of thousands of lives every year, yet the deem prohormone/prosteroids (hell or even steroids themselves) as such a threat.

This government was created to act on our behalf and to protect us from foreign contries etc, what it has turned into a a group of zealots who are trying to save us from ourselves, however the catch is that the only people they try and actually save are those in the minority because the magority has too much levrage when it comes to voting them back into office.

What im getting at is there are too many drinkers and smokers for them to effectivelly save them from killing themselves with tabacco and alcohol BUT they can save steroid users because there isnt enough of them to influence the vote and hence they can get away with it. FOr groups that have too much pull at the voting booth the government is forced to come up with "other" means of dealing with the issue, because when its all said and done the fucking beuracrates that run this country only care about one thing and thats in their paycheck and thier retirement, they dont care about us.

Now dont get me wrong, I am not an anarchist by any means, I feel government is needed and so are laws I just feel that things have strayed and personal freedoms are no longer the goal. I love this country, and it is the best country in the world, but its not the best country because of its government its the best country dispite its government.
