spent pins

I have about 3 months worth of spent needles to dispose of. What is the best way of safely doing this? I don't want to endanger any sanitary workers or let any kids get hold of them. I started cutting the needles up with wire cutters but it seems to take forever?

Either go to a needles exchange or find some way to get your hands on a biohazardous waste bag.

It might be wierd, but it's not illegal to throw away pins.

I put mine in a coffe can, and then when the cycle is over throw 'em in a dumpster somewhere.

I usually just fold the needles in half, put the caps back on, and throw them in the trash.

You can take them to a hospital emergency room, tell them that you were walking inside to visit family or friend upstairs and found a bag full of needles in the parking lot. They will dispose of them for you.

Just go down to your local Wal-Mart. Over by the pharmacy they will have sharps containers for about $3. I just drop the pins in there and throw the syringe away. I have been using the same one for about 6 months. When it is full just place the non-removable lid on and discard in the trash.

I have a one gallon laquer thinner can in the garage that is just about completely full of darts and pins. Pretty soon it will go in the trash.

I just put the cap back on them and rap them up in tin foil and throw them away with the trash. I used to throw them in sewers until i saw city worker's going down in the sewer
