Speeding Ticket

I got pulled over tonight for speeding. The cop told me he "eyeballed" me at 54 because he didnt have his radar on. Does that crap seriously hold up in court, cause im pleading not guilty to that BS

damn usually you can ask for the radar, which they will bring to you. Not sure what you can do. If you had some kind of proof of what he said you might have a defence.

BTW - friend of mine got pulled over and asked for the radar, the radar said 43 and the cop wrote down 46 and the ticket was dismissed in court. Not sure what else you can do, but just for future reference.

well, The judge wouldnt taken it into account if it was just words from me? Cause i need this dropped, i could get my liceanse suspended now if it doesnt. Hopefully my lawyer will have some more insight when i give him a call. im so angry tho now.

eyeballing? fuck that shit. i'm far from an expert, but i would definitely fight it. no radar? no way. if that's all he has, and you can bring up some good points, maybe get him to confuse his testimony, etc...could go your way. far from a guarantee, but worth a shot.

but i don't think i would go with an attorney on this one, unless his fees were really low, or he would do it for free because i'm blackmailing him.

Its 30 in the city, i already have points on my liceanse and usually 20 over speed limit is auto suspension I think in NY

I'm sure I could have been "eyeballed" as speeding
