Spaying and neutering is a must!

I'm not saying you haven't but if you have pets, please consider having them fixed. It seems like 4 or 5 times/year you here of someone hoarding around 100 cats at a home. Prob. 50% of them are near dead b/c of the conditions they live in. Today this stupid fucktard at work was bragging how he keeps catching these feral cats in a trap at his home. He then does something sick like taking them to a friends house and setting it loose next to a vicious dog that trails the cat and kills it. He said last night he caught one and poured water all over it. Then he left it in the cage over night wet in the cold. This goofball country crock fucker gets off on torturing animals of all kind. His family tree prob. only has 2 branches. Again, I'm not saying you're not a responsible pet owner but if people would spay and neuter their pets, we wouldn't have near the prob. we have today. I know where I live some vets charge up to 100.00 plus a nights stay for it. There's also a vet I found that charges only 30.00 for neutering and 40.00 for spaying. It is feasable. So if you know someone that should do it, please suggest to them it's something that needs to be done.
One more thing and I'll get off my soap box. I read an article recently saying this is the worst time of year for animal shelters. Why? Because so many people go out and buy their kids a pet for Christmas. AWWW! How cute. So adorable. Well that's all great until after a few months. Now the new has worn off. Now it's become a chore to feed it, clean it, groom it, you name it. It either gets put on a short chain in the back yard to be forgotten about or off to the shelter it goes. How cruel IMO. If you're not willing to go the dist. w/ a pet, don't bother ever getting one. I'll never understand the logic behind that type of thinking. Once I have a pet, they're like part of my family.
Spay and nueter people!

Thanks, Bob Barker...lol. Seriously, though, I'm a huge proponent of spaying/nuetering. Unless you are a serious breeder who knows what you are doing, you have no business just letting your pets have litters just so they can experience motherhood, or whatever.

Also, you should slip some rat poison in that guy's coffee. He is a serial killer in practice, and the world would be better off without him.

You know, the rat poison isn't a bad idea at all. I never have understood how people get sadistic pleasure out of harming animals.

Me neither.

Damn, your avatar is beautiful. Sexually and artistically gorgeous.

well I think you ALL know how I feel about this subject!
I think the government should make it a law to have pets fixed and to not sell pets in any pet store.
As for breeders...f that, there are enough unwanted animals to go around the world 10 times over.
People who want a specific breed "cause they're oh so cute" is sickening to me....but that is just my humble opinion ;-)

This girl I know purchased an exotic shorthair cat!! I know they look great and everything but can you imagine paying 600 bucks for a cat when there are tons and tons dying in shelters???

I understand breeds of dogs but a cat????? Just as a family pet I dont understand the whole breed thing w/ cats unless you want a show cat or something.

Thanks, yeah I love photos of beautiful women. But there's something about b&w's and silhouettes with an artistic touch. Those are far more erotic to me than a big ol' spread out beaver staring at you 2" from the camera lens.

I agree that we should fix our critters.....here it cost more than 30-40 bucks though. I haven't gotten my little one fixed yet because I haven't had the money BUT my dog is never out of the house or backyard. For me getting it done will mean there will be less health complications later down the road.

If you fixed them all blueta, we would eventually not have any more pets. Also, getting specific breeds and selective breeding isn't just for cuteness factor. They breed for specific purposes, disposition, and health. The good breeders do, anyway.

ONLY 30-40 $?????????? It cost over $200 to fix an animal up here!

I'm sending my critters down there ;-)

Thanks Bob Barker. Good topic..

But posting about this dude guilty of animal cruelty on a supposed Fitness board is not doing much good to end it.

Call someone about it. Get the Wigga locked up or fined at least.

PS.. We have 3 dogs and they are all fixed.

Well in reality, there is no way we can fix them all, but the majority should be fixed. And breeding should be left in the hands of the government.
Only certain breeders can breed!
It just makes me ILL to see so many unwanted animals. I am feeding 4 strays now and it breaks my heart every night when it's -35 and they are out there.
Course I have housing and heating outside for them....but I am WACK and most ppl would not do this!

Yeah, either call the police or poison him, one or the other. =-)

I don't think we need to government to breed animals. :worried: They are screwy enough...lol. maybe just licensing for breeders would suffice.

That's is what I meant.....but done legally through the government

I thought Bob Barker had joined us.

I'm not so sure we even need government...

Let's not give them even more power, please?

jeffrey dahmer started out by torturing animals. . .people that do that shit are broken. . .probably beyond repair. . .don't ever turn your back on someone like that. . .

Our dog is used for stud services so fixing him would probably make him useless in that regard. We pay higher license fees and we are required to register with the County as 'active breeders.' Granted, there are people who don't follow the rules and we end up with crowded animal shelters, but there are also people who will jump you in a parking lot for your money so they can get their next fix.. while they're 2 year old kid is locked in a closet at home. I guess it is easier to punish the animal for 'our' inability to be responsible enough to take care of them as they should be taken care of, seeing as how humans are so superior. The government needs to regulate human breeding before animals. We're the ones destroying the planet, according to most scientists and Al Gore.

On a side note (and off my soap box), for animals that aren't used for breeding it is beneficial, medically, to have them fixed. It can help prevent infections, terminal illness and cancer. Having them fixed just for population control is not a good enough reason, IMO.
