I told you my squat blows ass.

Tonight ...
135 for 5
155 for 3
185 for 2
225 for 2
245 for 1
275 for 1
295 for 1
315 for 1. PR.

Yep, 315 for 1. That's my PR.

But hey, my squat has always sucked. A year ago, I think I was just starting out with the exercise. My lower back was not the strongest part of my body either. So, I'm happy with tonight's PR. :)

SO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT YOURS!!
(I'm sorry. I'm only kidding. Don't kill me.) :D

What is the weakest point of the squat?? What part of your body is breaking down when you reach the heavy stuff??

Let me know, and we can determine the weak points.

Anyway, I forsee major improvements in the near future!!

Well, at about 1/3 of the way up, I had to use my back a little bit, but I knew I would do that, my lower back was always a weak point in my squats. But I did not use it as much as I thought I would have to, so there's a good sign. My knees came in a bit as well. That's the hips, right?

When you say you had to use a little bit of back, did you hunch forward a bit, or was your back remaining flat, but it was bending over (like a good morning)?

congrats on the pr, that was my previous pr until 1 month ago. I too have a weak midsection, which im trying to build up, but i really cant do GMs in my gym, well atleast the chain suspended GMs. Anyways, great job bro, keep working!
