SPAT; Arnold Classic Hotels

I'll be going as well. IF I had a bigger house you all could shack up with me!

She may want to try and find lodging outside the Expo area....It's cheaper if she can stay away from the downtown area!

How much are tix? I heard $50...but I went to the site and it says that Expo Tix are $10...whats the dillyo?

dont anyone waste money on the shows, you are so burnt out from the expo by the time u go eat and change its over and its time to go clubbing, maybe get tix just for the mens finals

the expo and the late night clubs like Fabric is the reason to goto the arnold...i went to one show last yr and i had full access VIP tickets, what a waste of money.

the expo is like $10 thats all u need to spend and its all day long.

SPAT,

If the event is sold out, you're SOL. If it isn't but close, then you'll be sitting in the last row of the balcony. The men's show is usually sold out before the day of the event. The only women's final tickets left last year a few days before the show were in the last few rows of the balcony.

hes absolutelty right.

i bought my VIP tix months in advance last year and i still ended up sitting in low row 30 or 40 on the floor level, i wasnt impressed nor would i call those VIP tix, and the people i know who got seats for the shows last minute sit so high up and far away in the balcony they could hardly see.

Ok am I the only one that doesnt understand. Please explain it to me like I am a 4 year old....

The website says there is the VIP $350 tix...and the Expo $10. But then some people have said that certain events can sell out. How many different tix are there??!

Truthfully I wouldnt mind seeing all of it....but my main goal is to see the Bench Competition.

Clearly the effects of overtraining.

Seriously, to the best of my knowledge:

The VIP ticket gets you into all the events plus the dinner, pic with Arnold, etc.

Expo for 3 days (Friday, Sat. and Sun)

Womens BB and Fitness prejudging (Friday at the Expo Center)

Women's BB and Fitness Finals at Vets (Friday night)

Men's Prejudging at Vets (Sat afternoon)
Men's Finals at Vets (Saturday Night)

Otherwise:

You have to get a ticket for each day of the Expo.

All events at Vets are separate tickets (Women's Finals, Mens Prejudge, Mens Finals).

Womens BB and Fitness prejudging and all other events are held at the Expo center.

Thus, you'd only need a ticket for the day of the bench competitions at the Expo if that's all you're interested in.

TOUCHE'

....seriously thanks for the "heads up" no matter how covered in sarcasm it was.

Hannibal,

It depends on what you would like to see and if you are big on partying late at night.

the VIP tix means you get a seat as every single show, all 3 days of the expo, every single thing that the arnold offers, you get, you will literally be handed about 20 or so tickets and each one is for something different and each has its own date on it.
but heres the deal...the expo runs ALLLLLL day long, till like 6pm...the 1st show is like 7pm, (i think all the shows start at 7pm) and its NOT in the same buidling as the expo, you have to drive for like 5 minutes or so to the other building. now last yr i stayed at a freinds house about 40min away fron the convention center, after 6pm we were starving, so we went to eat then shower, by the time thats all said and done, its time to go party at Fabric or whatever hot clubs is out ther. I did goto one show, the womans fitness but the seats were pretty far back and i did have VIP tix. we didnt even get to met arnold or goto the dinner and see all the pros and stuff, we were too drained from the expo and walking for hours and hours. by this time if u dont have tix, you are gonna sit far away from the stage no matter what you buy, VIP or single show tickets, so you might as well just buy tickets for the show or shwos you want to see.....and if i recall,. the powerlifting stuff is held on the expo floor and theres a big screen TV overhead also, so you dont need to pay for that.

there are a few things held on the expo floor like womens prejudgign and stuff liek that. but not the big shows, thats in a different building.

Now see...if I blew $700 on VIP tix for the hubby and myself (in addition to travel, accomodations, and food) and only went to/had time for the expo, I'd be pissed.

to be honest if there was no expo 75% of the people including myself wouldnt bother going to the arnold, the expo is all the fun, the shows arent bad either, but the expo is the real fun and at only $10 or $20 a day, how can you go wrong.

and of course clubbing at night is the other part of the fun of the arnold, seeing nasser tripping on XTC and rolling his balls off was one of the funniest sites, he was on the couch at fabric and waving to everyone that walked by like santa clause does when he drives by on the fire trucks every year.

funny sight.
