I can buy that protien pasta shit for 50 cents a pound bulk. That's a damn good deal considering it use to be 5 bucks a pound. But this shit is all soy. Would I seriously fuck myself up if I start eatting a ton of this shit? What would be the positive/negative side affects? It doesnt taste half bad (hey, I like ramon noodles) and it's cheap as hell. I could easily live on this for the next year or so, but would that make me lose all my muscle mass and grow breast? :D

btw I did research and it just confused me to hell becuase everyone says something different.

Nope I eat alot of soy burgers and even soy protien powder (cuz it was free)

Now we know its not the best at building muscle but it sure as hell isn't worthless. The estrogen issue is far overrated on it.

I think its great when cutting especially.

btw what I'm asking here is would eatting Soy Protein be better than eatting no Protein? Like would eatting 250g of soy a day be better than eatting 100g of whey? I'm not saying I am gonna make a diet of just soy protein, I just want to know if I can supplement soy in instead of eatting foods with just carbs or fat (IE junk food).

thanks. I just read this post http://boards.elitefitness.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=100002&highlight=soy

which pretty much says the estrogen factor is mute. I don't know I wish someone would give us a yes or no answer to this shit. I don't want to get a bunch of estrogen fat because of eatting soy...

Was that meant to me minute or moot? The industry certainly isn't mute of this topic.
Anyway, the whole estrogen scare with soy comes from the use of raw soy products -- which proves that REAL MEN DON'T EAT TOFU!

Soy isolate contains some phytoestrogens but so little it's essentially insignificant, and it has some beneits. Having said that, over 100 grams a day from pure soy is a bit much.
