How bad is it to lift when you're sore from a previous workout?

Also, is it ok to do cardio (intensive running) while sore from a workout?

your muscles need a minimum of 48 hours to repair themselves, assuming that you are eating right, but it is ok to lift if you are sore as long as you so not workout that sore body part or you will just be prolonging growth, you cant tear a muscle more thanit is already torn so try to concentrate on working a body part only once a week
