Ever have those mornings where you feel like you are about 90? I mean just feel like you couldnt bench the bar and have gone through 4 cups of coffee in an hour? What do you do? Skip training that afternoon? See how you feel later? Eat up?? Mucho K!

I take an EAC stack and it usually pumps me up...If that don't get it...especially when I am on 3rd shift...then I just go to the gym with the best effort I can...even though it may not be my best, it is still a workout which is better than nothing

same here. i do some more warmup sets and its usually going to be quite a productive workout. i use less weight then and do more reps. i do train in the morning though, i am used to some kind of awkward feeling anyway, i just turn up the volume on the mp3 player and get it going.

Its not a matter of skipping....it's a matter of listening to your body when it's trying to tell you that you need a friggn day off..........I havent missed a day of cardio (at least 20mins) for YEARS!!!!!!!!! And I've trained 3 days str8 now..........

bro, have you ever had your test levels checked. Maybe your natural test levels are low???

I just switched up my split. I feel like I got the shit kicked out of me by four guys (had it happen once so I know what it feels like). My brain said get out of bed... and my body didn't respond. My solution:
-keep slamming tons of protien.
-ephedrine with ALCAR, green tea and ginseng.
-I may even walk on the treadmill for a few minutes before working out... I hate cardio!
Best of luck!

sounds like you got some overtraining Jkurz, not being able to sleep, fatigue.

You should take a vacation and go on a cruise and get as fat as you can, while not doing ANY exercise.

I think he is too addicted to his cardio to give it up....

honest question: do you think you have body image problems or anything like that?

Toughing it out is good to a point, but one of the hardest lessons I had to learn was when to take a day, or a week off. Sometimes you have to look at it like your diet or gear. The best policy is to get just the right amount, and there are penalties for too much just like too little. Alot of the signs you mentioned are indicative of overtraining. The tough part is seperating a lack of motivation or a down day from a legitimate case of overtraining. A good indicator IMO is if you do tough the workout out how does it go? If you push past the initial feelings and have a good session then I think its a motivation thing and you should push past it as suggested. If however you proceed to have a terrible workout and don't shake the initial physical and mental hangups, overtyraining is more likely and if this is the case you are better off to take a break. You may not want to hear it, but over training isn't ususal solved in taking a day off. Some need a week or more off, and more importantly you need to reassess the routine and life decisions that got you to this point so you can correct them. Otherwise you'll be right back in the same spot. This stuff may or may not apply to you jkurz, it just my thoughts on overtraining. Hope its of some help and good luck getting back in the groove. Sometimes it just takes one good set to turn the corner.

Absolutely brillant.....and is totally my problem, I can't (mentally) eat all day and then not at least do something to break a sweat.......I prob. havent skipped a cardio session (at least a jog with the pooch) in 2 years.....sick disease, but I will learn...if I dont, Im going to flush my next cycle down the toilet.......OK, so if ive hit a plat. totally stagnent for a few weeks, do I take a few days off before I start a new cycle???? Or will it help me to rebound?

I was scheduled to train shoulder\arms tonight but am just not up to it, been eating well all day, got a lot of sleep etc.

I think it's better to listen to your body vs. having a mediocre workout.

Sometimes I find that it is my body telling me to rest, and other times I go into the gym feeling shit and leave feeling like superman.

It is a bit tricky knowing when I actually need the rest and when I need to say fuck that and "KILL THAT SHIT" but usually I can tell the difference.

There is nothing worse than waking up with your evening WO/cardio in your head, pigging out all day with your evening WO/cardio in your head, and eating again because you're going to train

.... and then be unable to go to the gym :kaioken:

In those (very) rare moments I could kill somebody ;)
