I always told myself if i have kids I would start a college savings from day 1 of there birth.I come from a very poor family and was raised to help start supporting my family at a very young age.Nowadays without a college education you are pretty much doomed to a life of hard labor.Stilleto Im sure it will be tough for you and your husband to put the kids threw collegs But no investment is greater IMHO.
 
How are your kids academically doing now
Any good scholarships?

One is already in college- he goes to a state school that's a 2.5 hour plane ride away. The other one will be going to community college nearby. Between college expenses and insurance and cars and FOOD, it's insane.

i am. very.
they are REALLY good kids.
the one on the right had a SUPER hard childhood (still does). You'd cry if you heard his story, yet he's sweet and mature with huge goals.
the one on the left is just a really good, very popular kid who never gives me a hard time.
